Lunn Poly is a travel agent that I have used for the last three years, and will use again this year for booking for annual holiday in the sun. My girlfriend and I are so impressed by the service that we receive that we use them every time. I've covered everything that I have encountered in this review and hopefully it will help you make a decision of going in and giving them a try.
The first year we decided to go on holiday in 2002 we wanted to go to Ibiza, and we went into Lunn Poly and see what would come up on their system, one of the hotels we liked was on offer in a special offers newsletter that the company prints. So, we were able to save money on this choice of accommodation and package. The staff are very friendly and when we went to book our second holiday we wanted to go back to Ibiza and used Lunn Poly again, the offer wasn't available this year, but the staff gave us some tips on how to get the price down! Last year we wanted to go to Majorca and used this same travel agent again! This year we are hoping to go to Cyprus and we are hoping that Lunn Poly will be able to give us a good deal once again.
Lunn Poly shops can be found throughout the country, and I believe that they are now part of the World of Thomsons company. The shops are very recognisable. With the use of the Lunn Poly web site you can get an idea of how much a holiday is going to cost you before going in and finding a price. The web site brings up a lot of what is on the computer system found in the ships, but cancellations etc are quickly found out by talking to a rep in one of the shops. The web site is also a great source to find out about destinations, holiday types and accommodation details, even better than looking at a brochure, plus being on the internet you can research further with other web sites.
The main reason we use Lunn Poly is because of the chance to spread the payments over the months, so we don't have to find a lot of money at one time. It is interest free and we can pay in however much or however little we want. Booking through this travel agent is a lot more expensive then booking online, but it helps us a lot by spreading the payments. When booking holidays online the money saved can be amazing, and I am hoping to do a late deal this way, the Lunn Poly web site has the facility to search for late deals and the prices are good (other online holiday sites can be cheaper). Booking through this travel agent helps put your mind at rest, you can ask your questions and have them answered, plus you know what is part of your package holiday and you know that everything is in place.
Each of the holidays we have taken has been with Thomson's and every aspect of the holiday is covered in the brochure and the ratings of other visitors of the hotel and location has been very accurate. Another good thing about speaking to the representatives in the shops is that you usually find that they have visited the places themselves and can give their opinion on it too. Our local branch usually has a minimum of two employees working, and they are all friendly and very helpful.
Lunn Poly hasn't let us down yet, and as you can see, we are going to use them again because we are very satisfied with all the service.
I would be interested in the payment system, but otherwise I find them very expensive and not too keen to tell you enough about the resorts. After one bad holiday a while back I would hesitate to use them again. Lisax

I was on a yts thing with these for a wee while at 16 before i decided to go back home to tenerife !
