I had a lovely holiday in Luxor for 1 week, the only thing I found annoying there was that I couldnt walk around anywhere without being hassled alot. Getting dragged in shops and then being unable to leave without buying anything, usually something you dont want. I went alone and as a woman I did get hassled by men too much, even room service made me uncomfortable, it was an ordeal just getting a drink delievered, because being alone the server would inavriably try and chat and it is hard without being rude to get rid. My advice would be to either not go alone as a woman or at least never make eye contact with any make, even room service.

I have experienced similar situations and it is horrible to feel so uneasy. For higher ratings here though, it would be useful if you could tell us about the place you stayed in, where you visited, what you ate, transport, costs etc. If you add anything I would be happy to re-rate. Vic
