Advantages: friendly staff, cleanliness and unlimited all inclusive Disadvantages: poor food variety and warmth
...Honeymoon in Rhodes - Sounds fantastic and conjures up images of white sandy beaches and sipping Ouzo by the beach with Greek bands tinkering away in the background in perfect harmony. Fact or fiction??
Journey.
First Choice airlines: Decent flight taking about 3.5hrs in total from London Gatwick. No frills really and we didn't have the food so I can't comment on that. All in all we got what we paid for with no delays of significance.
Arrival
We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning after a taxi drive of about 30 mins. The airport had been stuffy and it took about an hour for the baggage to make its way to us. We then had a nightmare due to a booking error and were forced to spend the first 5 hours of our honeymoon camped out in reception until the accommodation manger arrived. ...I arrived with my girlfriend to Rhodes on september 2006, We stayed a the lito hotel on Ixia, in rhodes.
we booked our hotel and flights from israel in a deal.
the hotel is quite small and quiet, breakfast is served between 7:00 and 9:30, includes breads, coffee, cheese, vegtables, juice, pastrame, beans, jam...
shower - not enough hot water, we asked the reception, but there was no solution.
Air condition - costs 6 euro a day - very expensive for us, "luckily" for us, we got to rhodes on an autumn-rainy-days so it wasn't so hot. july-august are very different.
mini-fridge - small but free, great for keeping a sixth of water, or beers, or both.
every room has little porch, with view to the see.
great gardening.
tv - in every room, the channels doesn't work good - has cnn and bbc, and other european and greek...

....
If you venture out of the hotel, there is a bus-stop at the entrance, one side of the road takes you to Rhodes Town (7 Euros for 4 people), or on the other side of the road you can go to Falaraki, we taxied it there and it cost 5 Euros each way. In Falaraki there is a place called Luna Park which is a big Amusement Park for the children, so that makes a nice change. Across the road and a 5 minute walk away is the Aqua Park, this cost us 60 Euros for the four of us for the day, but it was a great day out and there rides were brilliant. A five minute walk the other way takes you to a Shopping Centre where there is an abundance of shops, bars, restaurants for you to explore, all very cheap, especially for lace and jewellery. Across the road to the Hotel, is the hotel's nature park, although not massive, they do have tigers and a variety...
