My wife and I have spent two great short stay breaks (3 nights) at the Lyndene Hotel and enjoyed them very much, but our last stay was ruined by past guests who obviously smoked very heavily in the bedroom, we ask at reception to change our room as we are both non smokers and were told "as the smoking ban in public places was enforce from 1st July 2007 they could not monitor what guests did in their bedrooms" I told them that it was illegal to smoke in a hotel, pubs, restaurants, ETC, to which they said they did not have non smoking rooms and they would give us a can of air spray to keep the smell down, as we did not have any alternative we made the best of it but I will make sure if we return it will be to a smokeless Lyndene Hotel
