Hotel Greulich is a "DesignHotel" located close to the centre of Zurich (Switzerland) and is named after Herman Greulich, a Polish social reformer who emigrated to Switzerland and founded the first Socialist Party of Switzerland (the hotel is situated on the corner of Herman-Greulich Strasse).
On arrival, my wife and I were a bit disappointed with the building from the outside. Although it was a unusual and cool exterior design, it looked like it needed sprucing up a bit. The windows on the 1st floor and above looked quite old, etc. but at ground floor level, it did look "Design", with a modern looking bar and restaurant.
After parking in the secure car park behind the hotel (20 Swiss Francs (CHF) per day), we checked in at reception and were taken to our room. The room was in a small interior courtyard...

Advantages: Convenient for Pompeii Disadvantages: AC? What AC? Room was like an oven.
...We were planning to visit Pompeii but finding a decent hotel close by was as easy as excavating these ancient ruins with a teaspoon. So Naples it was.
The Holiday Inn looked perfect for our needs - on the edge of the city towards Pompei and easy access from the autostrade. When I say easy access, I mean 'in theory'...on a map...in my wildest dreams etc. The Holiday Inn is situated in a modern development of high-rise offices and commercial properties called Centro Direzionale directly connected to a link road from the A1 autostrade. But, this being Naples, where stock car racing is not only the principal hobby, it's downright de rigeur, it proved a little more tricky than directed from the hotel's web page. Advantages: Position, clean, secure parking Disadvantages: Old fashioned
...beaches within an hour's drive and some very pretty/towns villages on the way. The hotel is near the main Rome-Naples highway (non-motorway).
Overall, I would describe La Pace as adequate - certainly not the best hotel for the money, but nowhere near the worst!...
