Last year Aug06, we decided to go to the Caribbean, and we've chosen Aruba! Because its less commerical than any other Carribbean island and Aruba is outside the hurricane belt. The temperture is always around 28degrees with cool breeze all year round. So we were looking at different travel agency's websites to compare prices.The cheapest that we could found was through expedia.co.uk. Its about GBP40 per room per night and also has free continental buffet breakfast (normally its USD5 +15% surcharge). . We got to Aruba by KLM, and we took the taxi to the hotel. It about 15minutes from the airport and cost about USD20. The hotel is about 10 minutes by car to the town Oranjestad.
The hotel has 19 rooms divided over 2 floors. Its got 16 double rooms and 3 family rooms, suitable for maximum of 5 people. All the rooms are air-conditioned with private shower and toilet. The room is equipped with cable tv, small safe(with fee), small fridge, telephone, alarm clock and terrace seats. When you make reservation you must ask her ocean view its much nicer.
The hotel has a kiddie pool, playground and a small bathing terrace. It also has a restaurant ( The Tulip) on site. Its got a nicely decorated terrace sitting area and a small air-conditioned bar inside. The restaurant has a special 'catch of the day' menu every night. You must try the local fish 'Wahoo', its very nice!
The rooms do not have internet access, but there is only one computer with internet access in the air-conditioned bar area, its free for hotel guests. But you cant spend too long on it, and you can only use during the restaurant business hours (11am-11pm).
The Hotel is located across the beautiful Eagle Beach, about 3 minutes walk. You can borrow the deck chairs for free from the hotel. There's also a car park behind the hotel.
This hotel made us feel like its our second home with unforgettable experience. If you are on a budget then this is the place for you!
