Advantages: Brilliant night out! Disadvantages: None to me, some people find bouncers to harsh - i like this!

M Two does different events through out the week. Tuesdays are called 'Funked If I Know' and play R n B, Hip Hop and House. Entry is 3-4 pounds and it is open 10pm - 2am. M2 is about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop or Picadilly Train station. There is also Oxford Road trainstation and Deansgate close by. The furthest train station is probably Victoria which is still only a short taxi ride away (probably cost around 4 pounds - which between a few of you is nothing!). I personally wear heels and don't find the walk from Picadilly too challenging but I do have whiney mates who moan know end about it!

However I walked past this Sunday and it was closed so maybe that doesn't happen anymore.
As you get to the venue, which is a large, presumably old building with steps leading up and columns outside, there will almost certainly be a queue. As you near the front of the queue (i.e turn the corner and actually be now queuin on the same street as the building!) you will notice a grubby red carpet. I have nearly tripped over the corners of this many a drunken time and it just looks a bit stupid really. However it does sometimes have the desired effect as I was once talking to some guys from Blackpool and they were under the impression that Manchester was posh because of this whole red carpet effort. Yes boys, Manchester is posh...compared with Blackpool!
As you get near the front of the queue you will hear statements such as "Sorry ladies, no yellow tonight!", "Nah, you just don't look right mate.", "No, I just don't feel like letting you in." Now if you are one of the people the bouncers don't let in you probably are a little annoyed to say the least and don't like this club. However, I think this method of selection is brilliant. The 'no Rockports' rule stopped working at eliminating scum a long time ago so this is brilliant because if a bouncer doesn't like the look of some of the idiots that are out they simply don't get in. Hence, the people who do get in all can have a good time mixing with other decent people. Also, if you are going out you should make a little effort and get dressed up. Does the name 'Undress' suggest wearing jumpers to you? Does the name 'Beautiful' suggest jeans and trainers? No. If you make the effort you will get in.
When you do get past the bouncers you walk up the steps into a rather large waste of space. There is a lady you pay your entry to and she gives you a ticket, you turn around and the person you have to give your ticket to is stood right next to you so I'm not sure in the point of that. I feel this area could be a bit smaller as essentially all you need is a booth to pay at or they could incorporate a cloakroom into this part of the club.
When you go through the doors on your right ahead of you is a large bar area. It has six large round seating booths with tables and a large area in the middle of these with more seats and tables. It looks very classy. I think it is kind of cream and leather look. At the end of this area is the bar - which is rather an important element to have in a bar area! The drinks are quite highly priced compared with some places. In Bar Baa you can get your drinks for 1pound, in Loaf you can ay 7 pounds for a pint of beer - this place falls somewhere in the middle at between 2-4 pounds for a drink.
If you are still stood at the door to your left is a doorway that leads to the stairs. The stairs look pretty shabby and obviously non of the renovation budget was spent here! As you go up the first thing you come to are the toilets. These are okay. They are large and fairly clean, they have perfumes, body sprays, lolly pops etc for your pleasure and even someone to hand you paper towels to dry your hands on if you are too lazy to stick them under the drier!
If you continue right up the flights of stairs past the toilets to the top of the building it leads out at the cloak room. Here you can drop off your coat for 1pound and are given a ticket which you can collect your coat with at the end of the night. Unfortunately they don't take bags anymore so you will have to carry it around all night but hey you will probably need it anyway.
Walking past the cloak room you will notice a small bar. The club then leads into the top floor which is basically a balcony looking down over the dance floor. There are seats dotted about on these balconies. You can go down the central stairs - all chrome and nice - to the second floor balconies and then right down to the dancefloor if you like.
The dancefloor is large, the club has well over 1000 capacity, I'm sure I read 3500 capacity somewhere but don't quote me on that! It's busy anyway! The dancefloor is a little sticky like most but there is a no drinks rule on it so that makes it slightly better.
The music depends on the club night you are going to but generally has quite an eclectic mix of R n B, Hip Hop, Dance etc. There is also a good mix of commercial and more unknown tunes.
There is a good mix of people from all ethnic backgrounds in here - the bouncers aren't discrimanitive in that respect.
You can be guaranteed a really good night in here and I would highly recommend visiting it if you are in Manchester on a Friday or Saturday night.
Advantages: Large venue, good music, breakfast club, great night out from start to finish Disadvantages: Pricey!
Well well, I am sure that Royales shut way before the internet existed but never mind. I never went there as I was just a little girl at the time but I am an avid fan of its sucessor Infinity and Infinitys successor MTwo.
As Infinity has now closed and there is already a review of it on here I will not say much about that except that I loved it but it did have its bad points too. Too many scallys, little bar area in relation to the size of the club, grubby carpets and peeling wallpaper in the stair area. However saying that it was all in all a good club.
However I once went on a New Years Eve and queued for over an hour to get in, then queued for an hour to put my coat in the cloak room had one drink after queueing along time at one of only two bars. The night was followed with me getting my foot broke (I wasn't drunk due to not ...
Advantages: everything you need, free parking Disadvantages: BUSY at peak times!
Meadowhall is a large shopping centre just off the M1, near Sheffield. Meadowhall is two floored and all indoors. There is plenty of parking, both standard car parks and two tiered multi storey type car parks and all free.
There is a large food court known as 'the oasis' where all the food outlets are and also a cinema. The food outlets vary from sit down restaurants like La Tasca and Pizza Express to takeaway outlets serving a whole range of food (jacket potatoes, pizza, indian, chinese etc).
Meadowhall has a whole range of shops from the budget end to high end, department stores to more independent stores. The independent shops are in an area known as 'the lanes' which is just behind the food court.
Transport to Meadowhall is excellent. I used to travel here from West Yorkshire and it was easy to find when travelling by car. If ...
Advantages: Gorgeous beaches, fantastic nightlife, amazing weather, kids clubs are excellent, great weather Disadvantages: (you don't want to leave!!), food at hotel is not so good.
I stayed in the Hotel Miami, Ibiza last year with two friends and I enjoyed my experience so much I'm going again next year.
Ibiza is the ultimate young people's holiday destination - but this hotel is family friendly aswell - kids clubs are excellent!
If you're looking to go abroad this year whatever your age and interests I sincerely recommend Ibiza. The beaches are clean and gorgeous, the sun is warm on your back, the sand is hot on your feet - I LOVE IBIZA!!
The nightlife - well, thats just too exciting to put into words! We tried a different club every night and I didn't want to leave any one of them. Some of the drinks were quite expensive in some of them, but the atmospheres in all of them was just immense. You can hear the music pounding around the club and it just brings you completely to life.
Honestly, Hotel Miami in ...
