When me and my boyfriend Sam headed for the Bath Spa hotel, we hadn't really anticipated how far it would be away from the train station. It turned into a 20 minute up hill walk but as soon as we saw the place our breaths were taken away. The grounds up to the hotel were gorgeous. We had pre-booked online and went up to the reception to check in. The lady on the reception was very polite and explained to us about using the facilities. Then we were given a quick tour of the hotel before we were shown to our room. What impressed me the most was the front room which can be used in the afternoon as a place to drink tea and relax. After we had put our bags in our room we immediately changed into out swimwear and headed to the Spa area. In the Spa we were given free towels and in the shower areas there was also free shampoo and conditioner(Molten Brown). The Spa area was absolutely brilliant. It consisted of five different spa rooms. My favourite part was moving from the steamy aromatherapy room and then heading straight into the ice room to cool down. There was also an indoor and outdoor pool. After showering we headed back to the room to relax and drink our complimentary tea and coffee. They had also supplied us with free dressing gowns to relax in and free magazines to read. Although this hotel seems quite pricey there are cheaper options if you do a bit of searching on the net and get a last minute deal. Needless to say as the breakfast was not included we headed out to a local cafe as the prices here were quite expensive. I am definitely going to be heading back here. If there wasn't so many beautiful things to see in Bath, I could easily have spent the whole weekend in the hotel. I came away feeling calm and collected. This is by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in and the service is top notch.
