As a student at Oxford University in the late 1980s, the Randolph seemed like the physical embodiment of the class divide that afflicted poor kids like me who came from state schools from the much wealthier students who took the affluence and grandeur of the city's finest hotel entirely in their stride. I'd never been in such a grand hotel and the closest thing to a grand building in my home city was the local branch of Lloyds Bank.
My flat mates' parents would arrive each term and take us out to the Randolph for rather staid Sunday lunches in the spectacular high ceilinged dining room where we'd sit and watch the world cycle by through the tall windows. By contrast my parents would visit bringing a bag full of fish and chips or a Chinese take-away. I can't really say that we enjoyed the Randolph that much more than a take ...
Advantages: All the tracks are better then their older stuff Disadvantages: You only get 13 tracks, it makes their older stuff look pale.

Well, what you probably opened this review for, you want to know whether you should buy this CD or not, I say go for it anyway, even if you hate the music, because ' The BlackSwan' is a movement that is against the discrimination of homosexual and negro people, which I find worth supporting. However, its great to have a good CD from somebody you support, so here goes.
1. "Choose Your Fate" - 3:34 ~ 9/10
First Track, starts with spoken text, like a radio broadcast. Brutaly broken, and the music backing the breakout is great, sounds quite different from the older SOTY, neverminding the vocals, that have not changed that much, which can be a plus or a minus, there are some heavier parts, which personally does really great in my taste. Definatly a cut ...
would go about getting out! We did have to leave the keys on reception (so they could move the car if required - which they did as it wasn't in the same place when we returned). For us the car park wasn't too much of a problem as we didn't use the car for the break, however it was hard work getting in the small space!
Staff were friendly on arrival and we were seen to our room quickly.
Location
The hotel is ideally located in the centre of York. It is right near the York Dungeons, only 10minutes walk from York Minster. We visited most of the main areas of interest on York and everywhere was close to the hotel. Because we came at Christmas we were also right near a temporary ice rink, which was situated only a few minutes from the hotel.
