Advantages: Beautiful location, close to good pubs and restaurants Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...My partner and myself enjoy staying in hotels just outside our local area, and the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa was a destination we had been intending to try for a while.
The village itself is very quaint and surrounds the hotel which is well known around the area as an exclusive and rather expensive hotel experience. The nearest village to the hotel is Bromley Cross which is a ten minute walk away and is well supplied with all the pubs and restaurants one could wish for if a night out is required rather than a relaxing night in, sampling the many facilities of probably the finest hotel in this area.
The hotel itself is rather sprawling and quirky, and is more a complex than a bonafide village in it's own right. The hotel is very traditional and not in the least like some low market travel lodge.

Advantages: Lovely old building with excellent rooms Disadvantages: possibly location is being used as a base for Shrewsbury
...This hotel is a fabulous building set in large lovely gardens and has its own lake.
There is plenty of free parking, and the only disappointing bit of the building is the lack of an impressive reception. I was unsure of which door to enter, and the desk was quite small. The reception team, however, were very welcoming and I was quickly checked in.
The room was lovely. It was very large with comfy sofa and chairs. The bathroom was also an excellent size. The only thing missing from the room seemed to be an iron, although there was an ironing board. There were more rooms in a seperate annexe - and these seemed more modern - but I much prefered the more individual ones in the main building.
There were plenty of facilities to use - spa, gym and a small pool.
The restuarant was fantastic with oak panelled walls. The breakfast is made...

Advantages: Fantastic spa facilities, clean Disadvantages: Slightly out of town
...When me and my boyfriend Sam headed for the Bath Spahotel, we hadn't really anticipated how far it would be away from the train station. It turned into a 20 minute up hill walk but as soon as we saw the place our breaths were taken away. The grounds up to the hotel were gorgeous. We had pre-booked online and went up to the reception to check in. The lady on the reception was very polite and explained to us about using the facilities. Then we were given a quick tour of the hotel before we were shown to our room. What impressed me the most was the front room which can be used in the afternoon as a place to drink tea and relax.
After we had put our bags in our room we immediately changed into out swimwear and headed to the Spa area. In the Spa we were given free towels and in the shower areas there was also free shampoo and conditioner...
