Advantages: Fantastic spa facilities, clean Disadvantages: Slightly out of town
...When me and my boyfriend Sam headed for the Bath Spa hotel, we hadn't really anticipated how far it would be away from the train station. It turned into a 20 minute up hill walk but as soon as we saw the place our breaths were taken away. The grounds up to the hotel were gorgeous. We had pre-booked online and went up to the reception to check in. The lady on the reception was very polite and explained to us about using the facilities. Then we were given a quick tour of the hotel before we were shown to our room. What impressed me the most was the front room which can be used in the afternoon as a place to drink tea and relax.
After we had put our bags in our room we immediately changed into out swimwear and headed to the Spa area. In the Spa we were given free towels and in the shower areas there was also free shampoo and conditioner...

...The location of this hotel couldnt be better, its in the middle of international drive with plenty of things around and if you dont have a car then great transport links.
Staff in the hotel are very friendly and efficent. The rooms have two double beds in which are cleaned and bedding and towels changed every day. Rooms have fridge, microwave, tea and coffee facilities and a small dining area. Bathroom is very clean, plenty of hot water and a nice bath and very powerful shower. The sink area has lots of litttle aminities and a nice powerful hair dryer.
There is lots of space for cases and clothes as well as an iron and ironing board.
Location is great you are on i drive and sand lake road, next door is the worlds largest macdonalds and across is numerous restaunts ( whole heartidly reccomend chilis!) and for breakfast ponderosa...

Advantages: Within short walking distance of centre, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere Disadvantages: Bar pricey and lounge area needs refurbished
...you can listen to the TV or radio in the bath!!) Good selection of "smellies" in the bathroom too, with clean fresh towels daily.
There is also a TV, tea and coffee facilites and biscuits. A mini bar is provided too but again, a bit pricey. Iron, ironing board and hairdriers are also provided. The Cathedral can be seen from rooms to the rear of the hotel.
The hotel also has a gym, swimming pool, tanning facilities and jacuzzi (probably more but I confess to an aversion to exercise therefore tended to avoid these areas). Prices vary and there are weekend offers. The location is ideal for a base for visiting Devon, Torquay is just a short drive, however the local transport is exceptionally good with day passes for £5.00, you can spend the whole day sightseeing ( I recommend the Jurassic Trail, although the day I went...

I got this album bought for me as a birthday present and ungratefully discarded it at the bottom of a drawer for some strange reason. I then heard one of her songs "this is the life" play on radio one and immedietely loved it! i... more
