When we arrived, the place was quaint. It is an old fashioned little village, complete with tea rooms, pub, bakery, and various other little shops.

We went back to reception at 2 and were told that our room still wasn't ready so to wait in the lounge or have a wander round. There was no apology for the delay. We finally got into our room at 2.45. We had decided to get a four poster bed room as it was for a special occasion. The room was massive and the 4 poster bed looked amazing.

We finally got into our room at 2.45. We had decided to get a four poster bed room as it was for a special occasion. The room was massive and the 4 poster bed looked amazing. We decided to try their leisure facitlies out, a pool, a jacuzzi with an infinity pool, a gym and 4 heat rooms. One was a sauna, one a steam room, an aromotherapy room and a lights room (can't remember what the actual name was). The jacuzzi was lovely and warm and then you swam through a plastic door and out into the cold to the infinity pool. It was so strange swimming from the warmth of inside into the outside. The pool was warm but your head was cold. The view was amazing over Pendle hill. This definately had the wow factor! We went for tea to the pub on site and when we arrived we were told it wasn't open on a sunday. So the choices were a la carte or go out, we found a nice pub about 10 minutes away in the car. Would have been nice to have stayed on site though. The breakfast was buffet style so you could help yourself to anything and everything. The only thing that let us down with this hotel were how the reception staff dealt with us. I know that cleaning is out of their control but they could have apologised and made our visit great.
Ideal location for weddings, special occasion or just a relax.
Advantages: Beautiful location, close to good pubs and restaurants Disadvantages: Quite expensive
My partner and myself enjoy staying in hotels just outside our local area, and the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa was a destination we had been intending to try for a while.
The village itself is very quaint and surrounds the hotel which is well known around the area as an exclusive and rather expensive hotel experience. The nearest village to the hotel is Bromley Cross which is a ten minute walk away and is well supplied with all the pubs and ... ...required rather than a relaxing night in, sampling the many facilities of probably the finest hotel in this area.
The hotel itself is rather sprawling and quirky, and is more a complex than a bonafide village in it's own right. The hotel is very traditional and not in the least like some low market travel lodge. The facilities include an impressive gym, an infinity pool, a jacuzzi and some of the most helpful and delightful staff that we have encountered ...

Advantages: Full usage of Spa, gym, pool Disadvantages: Choice of food served in main restaurant
We have recently returned from our 3-day break at this hotel. After reading other reviews of this hotel we were very apprehensive about our stay. On our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were given very clear details of the facilities available to us and also breakfast and dinner times. Our executive room was lovely , clean and warm and well worth the extra supplement. Great choice at breakfast and carvery ... ...Inn. In my opinion we have had a very pleasurable stay, staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Glad to see that the small quaint shops were still to the rear of the hotel which are not mentioned on their website. In my opinion there website does not do the hotel justice and needs some updating. If you want to stay in a traditional hotel then this is the one surroundings are lovely. Overall we have had a very pleasurable stay. ...
