We have recently returned from our 3-day break at this hotel. After reading other reviews of this hotel we were very apprehensive about our stay. On our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were given very clear details of the facilities available to us and also breakfast and dinner times. Our executive room was lovely , clean and warm and well worth the extra supplement. Great choice at breakfast and carvery was very nice at the alternative restaurant The Last Drop Inn. In my opinion we have had a very pleasurable stay, staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Glad to see that the small quaint shops were still to the rear of the hotel which are not mentioned on their website. In my opinion there website does not do the hotel justice and needs some updating. If you want to stay in a traditional hotel then this is the one surroundings are lovely. Overall we have had a very pleasurable stay.
In order to get a higher rating you need to add a lot more detail, have a look at other reviews on Hotels which have been rated VH or E, and you will get the idea of detail. If you need some pointers to a good review, let me know and I will point you in the right direction - ◄KEP►
