I agree whole heartedly with the other reviewers comments. I have stayed there twice now,for my partners works christmas party last year and the year before. The rooms are stunning with amazing views but unfortunately the staff are rude at worst and disinterested and ineffectual at best. The food at the parties was ok for mass catering and the entertainment that accompanied the meal was superb!! unlike the previous reviewer my experience of the breakfast was dire with long ques for the buffet breakfast so I ordered from the breakfast menu, I ordered the mackerel with poached egg and was told it will take 15 mins to cook, after 25 mins they came back and told me sorry there isn't any mackerel but you can have kippers so I chose the kippers with poached egg, 20 mins later it arrived, to my horror the kipper was stone cold and raw, I complained to the waitress and she went away in a very surly manner leaving the cold uncooked food in front of me and then reappeared 10 mins later with another POACHED EGG. By this point I was beginning to lose not only my appetite but also the will to live, when I explained again that it was the kipper that was uncooked, not the egg she just looked at me vacantly and shrugged her shoulders. I almost expected her to cough in my face and say computer says NO David Walliams stylie. the staff at the hotel let down what could be an absolutely stunning hotel one of the waiting staff a young asian man, stank of body odour both times i stayed there, which is very off putting, if his own level of personal hygiene is so poor it makes you shudder to think what his food hygiene standards are!!
