We arrived at the waxworks at about 10.45 in the morning - there was no queue so we were able to walk straight in. The queue when we left at about 12.00 was a different matter!! I would definately advise anyone planning a visit to Tussauds to either arrive early or purchase your tickets in advance through the internet, doing this yo are able to get in through a different entrance, thus jumping the queues.
Upon passing through the entrance, we were greeted by the sight of Jerry Springer, which made me jump because it was so lifelike!! As you enter further into the building, the first main room you will pass through is full of the stars of our screens and the voices on our stereos. I was very impressed with this room as the waxworks were arranged around the room in such positions that you were able to pose easily for photos -there were no railings or ropes - and the statues were not raised on platforms but placed on the floor. We had great fun posing with such people as Samuel L Jacksn, Kylie, Graham Norton plus many more.
The next display area showed Eric Catona and Pele with various football memorabilia and a tv showing famous football matches.
The next room was an area dedicated to the England football team - in particular David Beckham - who was absolutely fantastic!! Within the room were signed England shirts, signed footballs, a cast of King Beckhams feet, plus much more. Playing on a huge screen behind Beckham was the famous goal from the England - Greece match and sat in the corner of the room was Sven (another one to make me jump!)
The filmstars display followed including Jackie Chan, Brad Pitt, Antony Hopkins etc. Tv screens in this room showed the making of various waxworks, showing how they were modelled and the sittings with the celebrities.
As we passed through to the main dsplay I quickly realised that this was the 'serious bit'. Waxworks of politicians, Queens, historical figures and such like. Sorry to sound uneducated, but I enjoyed the more lighthearted display more!!
The final exhibition was the chamber of horrors. I had been quite looking forward to this part, I like a bit of gore, but it wasn't really that gruesome. Historical figures and happenings were included, the french revolution, famous serial killers including Jack the Ripper and Crippen.
The visit ended with a ride called 'The Spirit of London', where passenges are take through the ages including the plague, fire of Londn, through to the 60's and 70's etc.
I really enjoyed the visit to Tussauds but I expected it to be longer - we completed our visit in about an hour and for over eeven pounds I expected a little more. Major celebrities such as Robbie Williams and Elton John, who you would expect to see were missing, but I would still advise you to pay a visit - and don't forget your camera!!

Advantages: Indoors, quite a lot to see Disadvantages: It is a walk-through place, so not a place for little kids who might be overcome by the need to touch
