There are lots of interesting features in Donegal - such as Killybegs which is a port where lots of large fishing ships dock - and they are from all over the world. ( Bernard from Blind date is from here ) Donegal town where the famous MageeTweed comes from, there are lots of beautiful beaches, and lots of small viallges for you to explore....

Advantages: Lovely scenary, Short distance between each attraction, Cheap car fuel! Disadvantages: The road signs can be hilariously confusing sometimes
...I have heard tales of “God’s Country” and it’s utopia of green fields; breathtaking scenery and mythical mysteries but I’ve never believed in fairy tales…err…well…na, I won’t go that far!
However, having visited Donegal I can understand why Ireland has such a reputation for it’s outstanding beauty, hospitality and of course, story telling.
I’m about to take you on a trip I recently made to Donegal and I fear it’s only a fraction of what Donegal and Ireland has to offer – my apologies to all those effected by my ignorance. However, this is what I got up to (steady!) for 2 days. Enjoy!

Advantages: Beautiful and uncrowded. Disadvantages: Inaccessible
...As a native of Donegal I found it interesting to find some reviews of my lovely county. Donegal without doubt is the nicest county in Ireland scenery wise and people wise, although some other counties have some wonderful features there's a wonderful mix in Donegal. If you wanted to start I'd suggest South West Donegal and go up along the coastline. In Donegal town make sure you visit the Castle and the ruined Abbey down by the quay. Then carry on to Killybegs home of Ireland's largest fishing port. After Killybegs there are some lovely villages intrhough including Kilcar famous for it's tweeds and Carrick. Go from Carrick to Ardara via the Glengesh pass which has one of the most beautiful views in the world. Other wonderful places to visit include Glenveagh National Park, Grianan Aileach an ancient stone fort in the Gateway to Inishowen...
