Overall if you want a cost effective hotel in an amazing location then this is the hotel for you if you are looking for first class cuisine then this probably isn't right for you, but having said that neither is Benidorm. I would definitely go back to this hotel for it's location and food aside I don't think that there is anything about this hotel that I would complain about.

On arriving in Spain and transferring to the hotel, first impressions were very average; you enter a tall building surrounded by other tall buildings. The weather is however amazing, check in was quick and easy with the reception staff reasonably fluent in English and more than happy to help in any way possible.

When we entered our room, we had a problem, there was only enough bedding for two beds and yet we needed three. One quick walk down to reception (although there are two lifts) and the problem was on its way to being resolved, a member of staff quickly appeared with the additional bedding and made the bed.

The hotel has it's own pool although don't go there based on this it is tiny, and don't expect to sunbathe around it either, you will need to get up to be the first outside to get a sun-bed by the pool and wait for the couple of hours a day when the sun can actually get through to the pool past the collection of other hotels in the area.

The hotel bar is all-inclusive (although some drinks do attract a premium) and this is more than adequate for most people. Although there are signs everywhere saying that it is a maximum of one drink per card (you get given a card at check-in which works as both you room key and your all-inclusive pass) and two cards per person, this seems to be a very flexible rule, in fact by the end of the week a card was not necessary. The bar staff were friendly, and sought to give you whatever you wanted to drink, if you like strong drinks just say and you will get a very strong drink from this bar.

Then I had to consider the major selling point for this hotel, the brochure said it was close to local bars and entertainment as well as to the beach. On these two fronts the hotel was excellent, a two-minute walk from the beach and the same from the main square of bars in the town. From this hotel you truly are close to everything. The hotel offers entertainment most nights of the week, however I spent very little time watching this, given the diversity of free entertainment in the surrounding area.

Unfortunately not everything was so good. The food at the hotel was quite average, with some nice meals, but a lot of sausages. After a week of eating hotel food, I did not want to see another sausage for some, time, however there was a plentiful supply of food and you really could eat as much as you could possibly manage, with wine beer and soft drinks available with meals.

Overall if you want a cost effective hotel in an amazing location then this is the hotel for you if you are looking for first class cuisine then this probably isn't right for you, but having said that neither is Benidorm. I would definitely go back to this hotel for it's location and food aside I don't think that there is anything about this hotel that I would complain about.
