AN EXPLOSIVE VISIT Review ofMagna Science Museum (Sheffield)by
chrissiepops
Advantages: Its excellent ! Disadvantages: To much to see in one visit
...in the interactive stuff? Well Magna is one of those places. Magna opened in April 2001 and is based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Its easy to get to from the M1 motorway. Just take Junction 33 if you are travelling from the south or Junction 34 if you are travelling from the north. Just follow the signs "Magna" through to Templeborough where one of the biggest steel works which produced most of the steel for England and the most productive steel ... ...to have an annual pass, Magna will take the amount off what you paid already from the annual ticket price. Which I feel is excellent. I've never known a place to do something like that. I'm off down there again after the half term to get a annual ticket for my daughter and myself, as we all enjoyed it so much. So whats at Magna that is so great. Magna was a Millennium project and after two years of intense planning, Rotherham council was ready to ...

Magna-ificent, NOT Review ofMagna Science Museum (Sheffield)by
ALLIECAT1
Advantages: none Disadvantages: everything
Magna science museum was formerly an old steel works, My husband and I took our son who is 12 years old and our daughter who is 5 years old to Magna the new science museum in Rotherham which opened over the Easter period. We decide to go there because of the television advertisement which made it look really good and all hands on for the kids.
We were all looking forward to the outing very much, anyway the day came we drove from Hull approx 62 miles ... ...eat, we went inside what Magna describe as their restaurant, I could not believe what I saw I was inside a tent with alinium tables and chairs they were selling sandwiches and cake it reminded me of a chill out tent at a rave party, I did'nt think things could get worse, so obviously we left and ate elsewhere before we began our journey back home.
However there was a little light at the end of tunnel, when we had finished inside Magna we took the ...

Advantages: Educational, fun, huge, opening hours, something for everyone Disadvantages: Ticket staff not the friendliest, lots of walking about
I happened to stumble on this day out, after being bought a Bungee jump for Christmas, but I'll talk about that later.
This exciting and educational museum/adventure centre is very accessible, situated on the A6178 Sheffield Road, just off the M1 motorway at Junction 34, just outside Rotherham in Sheffield. It takes just over an hour to get to from the Midlands, and is open 10am-5pm every day except 24-27th December and on New Years Day.
I should ... ...went by car and parked in the car park right by the entrance doors.
It is accessible for wheelchair users, with lifts and ramps throughout the huge building. I would recommend wearing a coat, as the building is really quite cold.
It costs £9 for adults and £7 for children, but you can buy a family ticket to save money. To save even more money, do a bungee jump first and you get buy one get one free vouchers for all your friends and family!!

Quick review of Magna Science Museum (Sheffield) Review ofMagna Science Museum (Sheffield)by
Florida1st
My 6 year old daughter and I have just come in from a visit to the Magna science museum. I have never been so dissapointed or felt so ripped off in my life!! What a load of tripe that was! Half the interactive stuff wasnt working,it was crap. The best part was the outdoor play area which it very good for the kids, but dont waste your money folks, its a real rip off.It cost me £18.60 and we were in there about hour and half. What a waste of Lottery money.I think maybe Ive been spoilt with all the attractions in Florida, nohing in this poophole of a country will ever come up to their standard.Americans know what makes a good day out!

What fun we would have if Neil Warnock was England manager! Even though he's arguably the best English qualified boss we have when working with players, alongside Redknapp and Steve Bruce, like Cloughie, there was never any chance he would be interviewed more
