Airport.   Hotel Features.  This venerable Nevada
lodging boasts a 27,398 square foot casino with
943 slots and twenty one table games. The interior
gleams with ornate chandeliers and ceiling fans
that hover over an old western style front desk
and cashier cages. Gas lamps, brass fixtures and
antiques transport guests back in time to turn of
the century San Francisco. The hotel's exterior is
defined by flickering gas lamps, wrought iron
railings and stained glass windows. Dining options
include Pullman Grille that provides ideal
accommodations for weddings and receptions and
offers daily menu selections such as king crab leg
dishes, Black Angus beef entrees and seafood
classics. As of 2006, the Garden Court Buffet
ranks as the area's largest buffet and 777
Restaurant and Brewery offers hand crafted beers,
pub fare and even fresh seafood via a sushi bar.
The Social Club seats up to 160 guests and is also
available as a banquet facility.    Guestrooms. 
This property offers 406 rooms with French
Provincial style furnishings, including white
plantation wood shutters. Some accommodations face
the freeway or railway tracks, but quieter rooms
provide cityscape perspectives. Dial up Internet
access is available, and rooms include safes.   
Expert Tip.  Theodore Roosevelt's Pullman railroad
car is located on the hotel's premises, as well as
a section of the Berlin Wall.

If only all Stations were like this one

Advantages: Manageable size, comfortable rooms, good service, excellent food and drink, value for money
Disadvantages: Location is about as far from the Strip as you can get , no entertainment

Downtown Las Vegas is situated to the north of the Strip - when there's little traffic it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes in a cab to McCarran International Airport, ...
...The hotel is located on Main Street, and is a short walk from Fremont Street, which is the main street for hotels and casinos in the downtown area. It is located about a five minute walk from the Downtown Transportation Center, where you can catch many service buses throughout the city, including the main "Deuce" bus which runs from downtown along the Strip.

Convenient, friendly, clean and comfortable.

Advantages: Good location, cheap.
Disadvantages: Takes a while to get to the other end of 'the strip'

...the sights. In summary, Main Street Station is great place to stay when you want to spend your money on other things than your hotel room! Its clean, comfortable and friendly. Location just off the end of the strip and next to the heart of downtown is convenient but quiet. ...
