A rare bit of good press for Bangladesh and General guide

Advantages: beautiful scenery, hospitable people, delicious food, fun things to do in the capital
Disadvantages: some areas can be dangerous.. monsoon weather won't be suitable for most blighty's

Wow the sheer amount of terrible and quite condescending if not downright insulting drivel that gets spouted about Bangladesh makes me wonder two things: Are they talking about the same country? 2) Can people who have not properly visited the country not comment. I am ethnically Bangladeshi - well my parents are from there and we have house in the capital, I am fortunate in the respect that I grew up with both cultures fully having spent several months a year and a gap year working in dhaka - the capital. I did however grow up by and large in london with all the luxuries of living in a 1st world country, private school, drama school etc.. so I have an insight into living in both countries and environments, First of all there is no denying it is a poor country, a heavily overpopulated society where literacy levels are barely scraping ...

Review of General: Bangladesh

Ruin this

Advantages: Read Opp
Disadvantages: Read Opp

The ruins is a horror film that was released in 2008, directed by Carter Smith and starring Jonathan Tucker, Shawn Ashmore, Jena Malone, Laura Ramsey and Joe Anderson. The book was originally based on a Novel that was written by Scott Smith. I had the pleasure of watching this film, last week, and I was one of mixed feelings. At times this film was brilliant, a fresh new plot, which didn't have any ghosts, or villains, but at times it was hard to pick up the film, in the sense that there were moments were the film slowed down. A great horror film should be one that has a constant flow to it, one that constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat. Plot: So the film starts of in a dark cold place, the viewers see a woman, who is trapped in a dark dungeon type area, one that looks more like a well, or a cave. She tries to call for help ...

This Film Was In Ruins Before It Was Released

Advantages: Small traces of tension
Disadvantages: It's a shambles

Amy (Jena Malone), her best friend Stacey (Laura Ramsay) and their boyfriend?s Jeff (Jonathon Tucker) and Eric (Shawn Ashmore) are on holiday in Mexico when they meet and make friends with a German holidaymaker Mathias (Joe Anderson), Mathias informs them of some beautiful ancient ruins which only a select few lucky people ever get to see because they are so remote. When they arrive at the ruins, Mexican locals appear from nowhere on horses wielding guns and arrows, they shoot a young boy from their own tribe after Amy throws something to distract the gun men which hits the boys. The group of teenagers manage to escape and end up at the top of a temple, all that?s there is an abandoned camp and a well, they hear a phone ringing down the well so they hoist Mathias down there, the rope snaps and he breaks his back. When the girls go ...
