Advantages: Near France and Italy. Beautiful scenery. Disadvantages: Similar prices to UK
...Introduction ~~~~~~~~
Geneva is located in the south-west part of Switzerland is very near to France. In fact part of Geneva airport is in France.
If going on holiday to you means "cheap stuff" then Geneva and Switzerland in general for that matter is not your ideal holiday. Switzerland shares rip-off Britain prices and many things are more expensive there. The only thing that is cheaper there is petrol and fags.
Scenery ~~~~~~~~~~
The scenery in Geneva is beautiful near the lake. From the lake you can see into the Alps and see the famous Lake Geneva fountain. At night Geneva is stunning, the fountain is lit up and all the posh offices have fancy lights. (Like the ones Harrods has) On top of all that you are only a 20 minute drive to the Alps where there is more breathtaking scenery.

Advantages: Lots to do, nice atmosphere Disadvantages: Hotels are rather expensive
...My husband & I visited Geneva last month & loved it. It's just such a big city with so much to do. We went to the Reformation museum & Red Cross museum, but there are also art museums, a watch museum and others. Cathedral is worth a visit- we went to a concert in it which was a great experience. Also visited some sights to do with Jean Calvin the Christian reformer - such as the Reformation Wall. Went on a cruise on Lake Geneva which was lovely. Make sure you take a swimming cossie too cos at "Geneve Plage" there are outdoor pools and a section of the lake that you can swim in if you want. The tram is a good way to get around the city. A little further out are the alps which you can visit by coach.
Hotels & restaurants can tend to be a bit pricey, but we stayed in "Hotel Central" which is reasonably priced and a nice hotel.

Advantages: Good, friendly and comfortable hotel. Disadvantages: Lack of lift and noisy air-con.
...During our recent trip to Jersey we stayed at a lovely little guest house. A friend booked it for a group of three couples for a week and another couple booked separately to join us for the weekend. As we had a really nice stay I thought I would tell you about the place in case you were planning a holiday to Jersey and needed a room.
~~~WHERE IS THE MAISON CHAUSSEY?
The Maison Chaussey guest house can be found on Havre Des Pas in St. Helier, Jersey. It is in a really good location because it looks right onto the seafront and is a great base because it is next to the beach and within walkig distance of the town centre. We went from Jersey Airport to the hotel in a taxi (a very swish stretch mercades!). Although there is a good bus service the taxi is my recommended way of getting there ~ it would be a bit of a struggle getting...
