Lovely 18th century Perigordian house set in 15 acres of Forest, only 10 minutes drive to the heart of Bergerac. This property is more like a "chambres d'hôtes" b&b type and is run by an English family who provide a high quality andpersonalised service. The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, all en suite. The hotel also has a swimming pool which is very much appreciated during hot summer days. In summary, a nice alternative to a hotel, a moreintimate option.
...Nous nous sommes rendus 5 jours à la Villa de Loulia. (900€ en BB !! très cher pour la Grèce)

Les lits grincent, il est impossible...

We visited the Domaine de Lagrezette, where after tasting session, we purchased a case of their second string wine, a 1997 cahors at £6 a bottle, for keeping 5-8 years (their top wine was a hefty number (both in terms of taste and price).
Bergerac - a prettier wine town, with its half timbered buildings - think Stratford-upon-avon, only not painted black and white, but left mud coloured, and the helpful LaMaison des Vins de Begrgerac, with lists of local wine producers.
Beynac - perched on the edge of the Dordogne valley, a steep climb up the cobbled...

Speak of Romantic Tragedy, and everyone sighs for Romeo and Juliet, but for me it has always been Cyrano! Personally, I am of the opinion that Romeo and Juliet is more of a classic example of Black Comedy, but I digress...This review will reveal details, more
I am a self-confessed product junkie... and this is what self-confessed product junkies do - we go and spend £135 on a 60ml jar of facial moisturising crème. But as I am qualified as a beauty therapist you could say I'm doing this for the good of the... more
