Mallorca- Beautiful
Advantages: beautiful, laid back, warm Disadvantages: be careful where you go. Magaluf is lively, Sa Coma not so lively.
I have travelled to Majorca on 2 separate occasions. On the first of these I decided to go to the lively Magaluf with friends. I left Bristol Airport at 11.30 to arrive in Majorca (Palma Airport) at 14.35 Local time (they are an hour in front). The flight was just over 2 hours, and as I was a nervous flyer (it being my first time on a plane) it was the perfect distance to break me in. **Palma Airport**
When I arrived a Palma Airport the security ... ...I was told that with Majorca it can be lovely on one side of the Island but not so nice on the other weather-wise. Didn't I find this out on my second visit to Majorca. On my second visit I went to Sa Coma(the opposite side on the Island to Majorca). This time I went in May. The weather let us down due to it raining for almost the full week we were out there. The temperature didn't reach any more than 70 Fahrenheit, and it was rather windy. (unfortunately ...

Apartments Sotavento
Advantages: Gorgeous hotel, clean, friendly service. Disadvantages: Having to stay in another, less adequate hotel.
I went on holiday with around 19 of my school friends last summer, unfourtunately when we arrived at the hotel resort, Apartmentos Sotavento, which we was all very excited to arrive at, as it was the best hot spot and one of the best hotels in the area for young people to stay at during their visit, we were told that they had double booked our group with another, which meant we had to stay in a nearby family hotel, which obviously with 20, 18 year ... ...100 euro deposit to each of us and gave us tickets for free food and drinks (around 20 each). We stayed in the other hotel for around 5 nights, and for the last 4 days we returned to Sotavento. The hotel itself is gorgeous, a pleasent place to stay and have a good time, aswell as the surround strip. It was just unfourtunate and inadequate that when we arrived, we were told such bad news. I suggest that anyone going to the hotel, double checks before ...

Alcudia - ideal for young families
Advantages: Quiet resort, fantastic beaches, lovely old town with market Disadvantages: High kerbs are difficult for those with pushchairs
...It was easy to get to sleep - not much noise from pubs and clubs. I'd imagine it gets noisier as you get nearer the port area. So I'd highly recommend Alcudia, especially if you have young children. Young couples without children might want to go somewhere a bit busier. ...

A quick guide to Puerto Pollensa
I'm no great traveller and I'm even less of a travel-writer. This may hit the spot, it may not. Let's see shall we?
I've been visiting Puerto Pollensa on the north-eastern tip of Mallorca for 25 years now and I can quite categorically say, it's my favourite part of the world. Many a wonderful holiday has been spent there and each time I go, a flood of happy memories come to me like the gentle lapping of the water ... ...can give way to new, Puerto Pollensa has retained the charm that so enticed us in the summer of '82 and just about every year since.
First of all though, if you're reading this hoping to get an idea for your next stag or hen-party destination then move along please, there's nothing to see here. You won't like it. Go to Blackpool instead. For the rest of you who don't like their holiday being spoiled by drunken thugs in union jack t-shirts then read ...

Something for everyone
Advantages: All round fun Disadvantages: Going home!!!
...other side of the island. Cala D'or has several different beaches to it. I stayed in Cala egos one of many locations in Cala D'or. Cala D'or is definitely one of the best parts of the island. the reasons I loved it so much was because of the stylish shops, the trendy bars and restaurants, I thought the distance from the airport was enough as you could not hear any aeroplanes and also I felt that Cala D'or gave everyone an opportunity to indulge in ... ...visit the area. The beaches are small and secluded and the only downfall is that for the number of people visiting, the beaches are not big enough to hold that many. Even so, the beaches were gorgeous. Sitting on the beaches admiring the views made me feel so peaceful and at ease. And like I put in the disadvantages, the major problem with this holiday was going home at the end!! I will definitely go back because I love it!! ...
