...lady helped us book the Mariner Club which is in Alcudia, Mallorca through Thompsons. So, early evening on 11th May we flew with no problems from a scorching hot Cardiff airport and found ourselves two short hours later in rainsoaked Mallorca. After waiting around for over an hour for our bags and then for a further hour and a half while they finally sorted out who was supposed to be on which coach, we sped through the torrents for an hour and finally ...
...a queue of disgruntled holidaymakers to check in. Luckily the staff were efficient and friendly and it didn't take us too long to recieve our key and directions to our room which was just above the clean, bright, marble foyer, up a short flight of stairs. Disadvantages: too much noise

I went to this hotel with my family in August 2008 and have come back with good and bad points about it. There is a lot to do there and with 4 children ranging in age from 2 -15 there needed to be. Some of the activities you had to pay for such as trampolines and motorised bikes but with 7 different pools, playground, crazy golf and train you could find plenty to do at no cost. A bus to the beach everyday also meant that we have a different variety ...
...The rooms were basic but clean and my only down-side to them was that you had to pay if you wanted the TV on, luckily I took the portable DVD player with me. The food was great and my 2-year-old had no trouble finding something that he liked - a great variety was served up - english breakfasts were great every morning. ...July and stayed at the Sol Trinidad hotel in Magaluf. We have been to Magaluf in the past and stayed at a Sol hotel which we really liked and so decided to give this one a go. We booked it off teletext and stayed half-board. The hotel has 375 rooms spread over 9 floors, we had a pool view room on the forth floor which was quite handy as the two (very small!) lifts were out of action a few times and I was grateful for only having to climb four flights ...
...across the road to the beach, and the road along the front of the hotel has lots of shops (clothes, souvenirs, booze, fags etc) and the road behind mainly bars and BCM the major nightclub where Radio 1 were doing there live weekend while we were there. It is a 5 minute walk to the strip where all the really lively bars and clubs are. Advantages: Great base for the beach, shops and everything
Disadvantages: Inflatables in the pool,

Lovely place, right on the beach. We didn't have a sea view, but the rooms at the back of the complex have air conditioning, which was much needed!! The pool could be better, it's a lovely big pool which a smaller one for toddlers, but they allow inflatables in, so you could have a dinghy or half a dozen lilo's in there and suddenly there isn't much room for swimming. This is the only place i've EVER been to that allow inflatables in the pool, so ...
...rooms are basic, we were in a one bedroomed apartment which was fine. Maid service ok, dont really do a lot, change the towels every other day, empty the bins and that's about it. We didn't even have our bedding changed for the whole 2 weeks!!! It's an ideal place for a base, right on the beach, at the end of a road. Shops, bars, restaurants etc all within easy reach, just a short walk away. We had a hire car and it was great to be able to get out ... Read review
