Advantages: Not crowded Disadvantages: Sparce animal sightings
...If you are into Safaris, and don't like crowded places. Then you should go to Chobe NationalPark in Botswana. Like all NationalParks in Africa Chobe has vast variety of Wildlife.
However because the game park has such a vast area, the wildlife is very hard to spot. You have to travel for great distances to see a few of the animals, but the game rangers are very patient and polite! The weather there is lovely. Very sunny but often you get hard terrential rain which only last for short period of time. The game park is not a very popular tourist destination it seems as there are rarely many visitors there which means the place does not get crowded.
Whenever you go to Botswana be sure to visit Chobe Nationalpark it is a great place and it is very close to Victoria Falls so that could be your next destination afterwards!...

Advantages: Amazing scenery, almost no tourists Disadvantages: we did not see all the animals we wanted to see....
...Chobe Nationalpark was my first destination in Africa and also the first Safari I had ever done. The whole trip was about four years ago, but I have to say it still is one of the best memories of my life. The Park is very close to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, so if you are staying there it is easy to just cross the border and go to Botswana. The drive to the Park is quite but not that exciting. Watch out if you are going by yourself, because the Kasungula Border closes at around 6 pm and you just may end up stuck in Botswana. That is what happened to me anyway.
We stayed with a lovely Botswanian family, who were the most hostpitable people ever. They had a camp just outside the park and also operated the tours into the park. unfortunately I have forgotten their name, so I cannot reckommend people there.
The park is fabulous...

...Etosha NationalPark is one of the greatest game reserves in the world and offers a feast of opportunities for wildlife spotting. To anyone with an interest in wildlife, this is the real gem of Namibia. Etosha can offer excellent game viewing without the masses of tourists that are found in most parts of East Africa. The park itself is 8,600 square miles and has roads that are suitable for any type of motor vehicle. It is best in the dry season when huge herds of animals seek to quench their thirst at the waterholes.
At the heart of the park is the Etosha Pan - a giant depression which was perhaps once a lake but which now fills with water only occasionally when the rains are exceptionally heavy. The silvery white sands of Etosha are often referred to as the 'Land of Dry Water' with the salt pan covering almost a quarter of the park...
