I have been in the "Rex Hotel" for a long weekend in April 2008.
The area
The hotel is situated in a quiet street 10-15 minutes walking from the center. In this area there are a lot of supermarkets (including one Lidl), restaurants (Italians, Chineses) and a lot of take aways. There is also a 7eleven that closes around 11.00 pm.
The hotel
When you enter at the hotel you can see the reception, a sofa and a internet desk (free to use). Our room was in the first floor and it was nice. Not huge but with space enough to have a table, a chest of drawers and a sofa.
The bathroom is quite impressive with black stone in a very design style.
In the room there are available two bottles of sparkling water and a detailed dossier of the attractions of the area with a lot of useful information. You can access free of charge to ...

We stayed at the HôtelRestaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world.
We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. Flying time from the UK is about an hour and a half if you are flying from the London areas. Easyjet will take you to Bordeaux from Luton, likewise British Airways will fly you from Gatwick, and Ryanair will fly you from Stansted to Bergerac. entrance and following Kungsholmsgatan over the afforementioned Kungsbron bridge will lead to T-Centralen and lots of places the normal guide books will tell you about. A little historical note is that this area used to be the Klara area of Stockholm, which was apparently much loved but was redeveloped in the 1970s into an area of concrete mostrosities.
The hotel is right next to Rådhuset metro station (Tunnelbana, or T-bana), to the right of the hotel entrance. This is on the blue line, and one stop away from T-Centralen. As you walk down to the station, in the underground passageway, to the left is a rather incongruous Ethiopian restaurant. Its previous incarnation was Latin American.
