England. Beautiful England. So wonderful in so many ways and yet such a nightmare to get to! In Aug 2007 I completed the following flights thanks to enough enrich points. AKL-SNGviaKUL, SNG-PNGviaKUL, PNG-KUL,KUL-AKL. I vwas really proud to be aboard MAS once again. The complete experince from booking the trip to the end of the trip was superb. I would like to give a big Congratulations to MAS for winning the worlds best cabin staff award 2007. As an Australian living in the UK I have become something of an expert on long-haul flights! As I prefer to spend my money on something a bit more tangible than 24hrs travel, I usually go for the cheapest flight available and put up with the discomfort. In May I was called home unexpectedly and needed to book a flight within the next day or so. The usual cheap deals had all been booked up and Malaysian was the best deal available. I recently flew with MAS to go to New Zealand. I managed to get a fantastic deal flying return from Aberdeen to Auckland return, although I did have to pay about 6 months in advance to get the deal. They're in partnership with British Midland which means you can get good deals on domestic connections if you need to fly to Manchester or Heathrow. The service is excellent, very courteous and pleasant, and you're regularly giving drinks and snacks, as well as two hot meals on both legs of the journey. MAS,the Malaysian flag carrier bills itself as the "Golden Airline" and in many ways it is justified in doing so. I have flown on MAS many times,within Malaysia, and from Kuala Lumpur to London and other places. I have always found the in flight service to be excellent, the in flight entertainment to be more than satisfactory, and there is quite a lot of leg room on board. The aircraft seem to be well maintained and the fleet is a modern one. The food is quite good,although frankly I have eaten better on Air Lanka and UTA French airlines.
