Summer Island Friendly Village

Advantages: Friendly staff, good food, great service
Disadvantages: basic, rooms need updating

We went to Summer Island Village in Jan 07 for 7nights for our honeymoon. It was a holiday to remember. The scenery is surreal, better in real life than in the pictures. The waters are amazingly crystal clear and the hotel was basic but very clean. We stayed in the water bungalow which is found at one end of the island. ...small hut and 2 deck loungers. Our room had a balcony which faces the sunset and has 2 chairs. It also had a clothes line to dry your swimwear which was really handy. The room was basic and does need updating but the bed sheets are cleaned everyday and the towels are changed. Kuramathi Village - great chill out resort

Advantages: Stunning beaches, other restaurants to eat at
Disadvantages: Some staff were a bit too pushy for a tip

...a large island for the Maldives so is split into 3 resorts but still only takes around 20 mins to walk to the other end. The AI offered is really good for the Maldives as often there are extras like cocktails to pay for, but not here, it really was AI, even got a weeks hire of snorkel equipment and 2 free trips thrown in. Lily Beach Island Resort Maldives

Advantages: Medium Size, Pool, Good Staff, Trips, Beach

EMBUDU VILLAGE - A Beaufiful Lush Island
