Hi I am 20 years old and a student going into my final year of university studying events management...I like writing reviews and giving my oppinion on a veriety of different things.

Lovely place, very taylor made for your average 18-30 holiday. Great place to go if you are wanting a fun,sea,sand and LOTS of alcohol holiday, with the main stretch of bars supplying you with enough alcohol for the rest of your life in one night, this is the best place to go if you if you want a holiday in Greece.
I was shocked to find there was a lot of violence and that the men over there hit women. It was a real culture shock to me, but other than that me and my friends had a great holiday and I wouldn't have changed it...
the bars were pretty good too, there was club tropicana which had a club and an outdoor bar, and we loved sitting outside there for most of the night as we were normally too drunk after being collard by most of the poachers for 5 drinks for 5 Euro's.
If we did manage to stuble past the first few sets of bars, we would normally end up having a drink in Bar One, this has a roof overhead, but there are no doors to get in, keeping the dancing space cool and so you could just walk in and out and drink your drinks on the street. With other bars along the way to the bottom of the stretch there was club 69, cheeky music bar, malibu and towards the bottom of the streatch was zig n zag which was awsome inside along with candy club which was amazing and last but not least our all time favorire where we spent a lot of time and would reccommend that you go in at least once was the appollo...we had some laughs in there!!
My two favorite were Candy Club and the Appllo Club. They both had a range of music, all clubbing and were a fatastic way to end the end of your rave.
Along the way home there were plenty of take-aways, from subway, kfc, McDonalds, pizza hut and lots of other pizza, burger and kabab shops available... it was a brilliant holiday and would reccommend you go, wouldn't reccommend more than 10day stop as it does get teidious going out ever night.
During the day there is plenty to do, from getting your daily shop from any of the local supermarkets, going to the water park.
The water park was amazing when we went, (the star beach water park) they had a slide called the Tsunami, and it did exactly what a tsunami would do you literally slide down the steepest drop in a rubber ring and u go up the side, its like a U-shaped Valley, and then it spits you out at the end...sounds kind of politically incorrect to call it that but it is an amazing slide and you don't get a wedgie! I would reccommend this to anyone who loves big slides, we also had a lot of fun in the kids bit but i reckon that was just because we are all big kids.
There are plenty of places to eat while you are there, on our last night we went for a mexican and it was amazing, and normally they give you a free cocktail at the end of your meal wherever you go, but here, they gave us a free shot of tiquila or sambukka and let me tell you, in Malia they tend to water the alcohol down, but when they gave us a free one at the end of our meal, I was not expecting the shot to be so strong. I can't actually think of it's name but it is at the very top of the strip, and a bit further up than a chineese which you can't miss on the opposite side of the road. If you don't like chineese or mexican then you will not be spoilt for choice as they have plenty of italian and english places where you can eat out...plus the endless list of take-aways and fast food resturants.
