It was also the first time we had been away from our two small children so I was looking forward to something really special. We were shown to our room, number 121, which was quite dark but did have a separate sitting area with a television. Most hotels that I have stayed in, including Travellodges, have superkingsize beds but the bed at Malmaison was a standard kingsize. The bathroom was beautiful but a bit on the small side for a suite in a fashionable hotel. My main complaint was the firmness of the mattress. All-in-all we enjoyed spending a night away from the children in Glasgow but would think twice about our choice of hotel if we were to do it again. I was surprised that upon leaving the receptionist didn't ask whether we had enjoyed our stay or if the room was comfortable.
A lovely chic hotel but could do with some improvements.
Advantages: Good location, strong cocktails, great toiletries Disadvantages: Poor service, no car park, nothing special despite hype
snotty and I was very unhappy that upon departure they immediately read the comments card I handed in in whilst I walked out of the hotel. Despite my concerns about the hotel I did not hear back from the management so much for customer feedback! I have heard Liberty was trying to sell teh cahin at the time I stayed there so this may have affected standards?
Whilst I can't complain too much in view of teh cheap price I wouldn't choose Malmaison over any other hotel chain depsite the hype I've heard the one is Glasgow is more luxurious however. ...
Advantages: Very clean and comfortable Disadvantages: Breakfast was disappointing
We went to London for a long weekend to visit a film festival at Leicester Square. I have stayed in other Malmaison?s before and found them to be very comfortable. There were some good rates for the bank holiday weekend so we decided to try the one in London. They have 12 hotels situated around the country including properties in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.
Malmaison London is situated in Charterhouse Square in the centre of London. The nearest tube station is Barbican and is within walking distance of St Paul?s, the River Thames and Oxford street. In order to get to Leicester square you have to change tube lines, but on several days we walked which only took about 20 minutes.
