Comfort and Luxury under the one roof

Advantages: Very clean and comfortable
Disadvantages: Breakfast was disappointing

We went to London for a long weekend to visit a film festival at Leicester Square. I have stayed in other Malmaison’s before and found them to be very comfortable. There were some good rates for the bank holiday weekend so we decided to try the one in London. They have 12 hotels situated around the country including properties in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

Malmaison London is situated in Charterhouse Square in the ...
...is within walking distance of St Paul’s, the River Thames and Oxford street. In order to get to Leicester square you have to change tube lines, but on several days we walked which only took about 20 minutes.

Booking:

Booking a room at Malmaison is very easy. It can be done online at www.malmaison.com, where there are pictures of the rooms available and it clearly gives information on the deals included. Or they have ... more

Value for Money

Malmaison - faboulous hotel chain.

Advantages: modern ,excellent service and food.
Disadvantages: more business orientated than other malmaison hotels.

I stayed in Malmaison London a few months ago for a work conference. I had experience with other Malmaison branches across the country so was really looking forward to my stay. The hotel is based in Charterhouse Square next to Smithfields market and has a great location safely tucked away from the main street. It's a nice little part of London (Smiths of Smithfield, Fabric just down the road) with easy access to the centre of town or Islington by ...
...if you don't want to deal with hustle and bustle of Picadilly or the West End but still need a central location. When I arrived as usual the staff were helpful and friendly - you get the impression they genuinely enjoy their jobs and want to provide a great service. I had a room on the second floor which was spotless and well presented. There was a CD playing when I arrived which was a nice touch. All the mod cons were there, TV,CD , DSL, Tea and ...

Meetings at the Mal - not what I expected

Advantages: Comfortable stay in a large, clean room
Disadvantages: Meetings were not thought out properly

I stayed in Malmaison for a four day training course last week and I wasn?t going to write a review because it is so similar to the one I wrote on Malmaison London, I would have just repeated myself. However, there were quite a few little things that could have been improved with the meeting facilities and I thought I had to air my views! The Room Ok, so briefly I will write about the room. As we booked through work I assume we only had a standard double room, but it was so much bigger than the one we had in London. The bed was huge and there was a lot of walk round space in the bedroom. There was a large desk with broadband internet access ? either from a cable or wireless, a large TV, CD player and a really big wardrobe. It was really comfortable and was air conditioned. The only thing was that the window was quite small ...

MALMAISON NEWCASTLE - LE PETITE SPA

Advantages: Far too many to mention here!
Disadvantages: None, only that I would have likes to set up camp there!

***This is a review only of the Spa facilities at Malmaison Newcastle, which can be used by hotel guests or visitors. As we did not stay overnight here, I cannot comment on the rest of the hotel, though everything we say and experienced was exquisite, and I would definately stay at one of their sister hotels if I am travelling away from Newcastle*** Having recently suffered from a bout of depression that left me feeling pretty rough, I decided to treat myself and my best friend to an afternoon being pampered at Newcastle's Malmaison. Their Petite Spa had just been refurbished, and so I decided this was the place to go. My friend flew up from London and we had lunch on Newcastle's Quay-Side, visited The Baltic Art Gallery, and headed over to Malmaison for our 5pm appointment. There are lots of treatments to choose from, ranging ...
