Isolated Radisson SAS Golden Sands Malta
Advantages: New, Spacious Disadvantages: Out of the way, expensive, no facilities
...from a week in the Radisson Golden Sands Hotel (October 2007). The Hotel and Rooms are clean and spacious, however beds especially the sofa beds are every uncomfortable. The food is very expensive and unfortunately is nothing special. Good view overlooking the small beach, and good outdoor swimming pools. Bring your walking boots as the hotel is miles from anywhere. There are no shopping facilities apart from a small gift store, a jewellery store, ... ...Overall comments and experience, overrated, overpriced, not a 5*, out of the way, and no facilities. NB: Beware the timeshare reps as they are out to get you. We also experience very bad weather for the week, cold, wet, and very windy and this might have also tainted our view. ...

Quara Palace ???
Advantages: Suntrap Pool area Disadvantages: Not much near hotel
it was a cheap deal for one week half board we paid £750 for 4 adults. It was catered more for older people who like to wait for everything. The lift situation was a nightmare. My mum thought it was excellent but she hadn't had a holiday in 15years.
The hotel is basic but clean. My mum did have burst pipes in her room and faulty air con but things like that are expected. The staff were helpful. The food was the same most days. I chose not to eat ... ...ate there and said the food was OK. They even found alternatives for my daughter who is allergic to milk. It was mainly sausage or ham and chips but at least it was food. There is a cafe open very late till 3am which had fantastic coffee. The hotel is very close to the sea but no beach, Malta only has a few beaches but they were making a beach in buggibba last year. Its best to get a bus if you want to see anything of Malta. ...

A nice place to stay
Advantages: Convenient location Disadvantages: None significant
...is exclusively for Sunterra and Intercontinental guests. The rooms are quite different from the rest of the hotel and are much more spacious and have a number of additional facilities.
The corridors are large, have a luxury carpet and very good lighting. There are plenty of mirrors and framed pictures all along. Most pictures are that of animals! Quite a welcome change. In our suite as well- all framed pictures were of different animals!
Our arrangement ... ...good family value. A child sharing pays no extra or room supplements. Children eat for free from the child menu on the same board basis as parents. Bedrooms are air-conditioned/heated and they have bathroom with hairdryer and separate shower, satellite TV with movie-channels, PC and fax modem, free safe, mini-bar and furnished balcony or terrace. Our suite had a family bathroom and an ensuite to the main bedroom. There were 3 flat screen TVs fixed ...

Loved every minute, and cant wait to go back!
Advantages: Price, facilities, location Disadvantages: nothing i can think of
...I have visited this hotel, Paradise Bay Resort Hotel, 3 times within 2 years recently, and every visit has been memorable with the Hotel because of the fine choice of quality food you get every evening, three pools to choose from, easy access to public transport (And Cheap!) plus many more things. The service provided by all staff, is excellent, the staff are always happy to help with smiles :) which is always nice to see. The receptionists are always ... ...wanted information on where to go quad biking, the receptionist advised of a place and let us use the phone to enquire about before trekking to the place for prices etc. The room I had (upgraded) was brilliant, it has got to be one of the best out there! It was very spacious with a good sized bathroom which included a bath tub as well as a shower, so you can choose which ever one you prefer. All rooms are sea view which is why this hotel is quite ...

preluna hotel
Advantages: central position Disadvantages: poor dining room waiting service and table clearing, poor lifts and pool facilities
A very average hotel not worthy of 4 stars in my opinion. Staff were helpful most of the time with a few exceptions. Self service restaurant poorly run at busy times with dishes not being cleared from tables by staff. We resorted to moving our own dishes to make room for next course on more than one occasion. Wine waitors turned up occasionally sometimes when meal almost finished. The food was hot and varied and plentiful. Lifts were a nightmare ... ...working. If you were brave enough to try the stairs you omly tried it once! Position on sea front good for access to walks and buses. The outdoor pool is a fair distance away by the sea which can be a disadvantage. Did not try the indoor facilities of pool etc as the room was overbearingly hot. Entertainment was very average and mostly to be avoided apart from a country and western couple who played in a small restaurant area we were unable to get ...
