I have been to these great islands 3 times now (one of which I cannot remember as I was only 1 :) ) The last time I went was in 2005. It was really great. We went all the way around the island. (This was mainly so we could see our family we have out there) However if you have family out there or not it is an essential trip if you like scenery, history, wildlife or just want a peaceful couple of weeks away. However an essential item for your holiday is a hired car as this means you can travel at your leisure rather then catch a bus! On of the few problems you may think you have is a language block however English is their second language so you should be fine! But before you get there you travel to your holiday destination. I have travelled to Malta using the company 'Air Malta'. My flight was comfortable and I enjoyed it immensely. The flight isn't long enough to bother with a film but there is a screen that tells you where you are on your journey, the outside air temp etc. it is very interesting to look at. You can also get some amazing photos of the outside. I took some great aerial photos of the Swiss Alps! If you want me to send you them leave me your email addy in my guest book :) In terms of somewhere to stay; you have the choice of renting, getting a hotel room, or a self catering apartment. Between me and my family we have tried all three and had a great time! In the hotel/apartment the daily cleaners are friendly and the lady left me and my brothers some small presents. In the rented flat we enjoyed cable channels and the fact we were near the beach! For want of something to do you do not have to look far as you can either go to the beach and spend your days relaxing in the sun or swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water. Then their is the capital Valletta or you can visit its old capital (Mdina) there you can shop, view the history, see its towns, parades and meet the local community. You can also visit the other main Maltese islands, Comino and Gozo. Though they are beautiful islands with beautiful scenery I do recommend bringing a road map if you are renting a car! On of the best times to go to these islands is during the time of Easter as their are fabulous parades held and there is a great atmosphere all around the island! There are also so fabulous restaurants and places to eat out. One of the main things I recommend is their cheese pastes. They are really yummy!
All in all I highly recommend Malta as a holiday destination! It is fun and a whole new experience. I think that you would really enjoy it I'm 14 and my younger brothers and I really enjoyed our holidays. Hi - pastizzi (made with rikotta cheese or pizelli) I think you mean, and yes they are lovely, alongside the unique hobz biz'zejt yum. Nice to hear that you enjoyed your holidays there, I haven't been there for more than 20 years and I am sure it has ALL changed in that time... Not sure if you mentioned that everyne there speaks english too, a major plus for young families going out there. Note now RyanAir also flies there from the UK/Ireland, so no excuse not to go (except perhaps the exchange rate, unless the Lira Maltija has been replaced by the Euro yet...?)

If you had said how you got there (flew from where with whom etc) I would rated higher. As it is you made it sound very interesting.
But - have you thought of using word to write reviews then running spell checker over it before you post it? Honestly makes it much easier to read

Hi I'm Maltese! Thanks for your nice comments. It's great for young people too. Have you been to Paceville and St. Julian's, Sliema or Bugibba? There are a great deal of pubs, discos, nightclubs, restaurants and great nightlife.
Good review. Hope you'll come back to Malta soon.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Review of Best Western Hotels
Advantages: Plenty to see and do for everybody. Historic and Ancient. Some nice beaches, some rocky coves. Wonderful for snorkeling, water clear blue. Disadvantages: Poor roads, ancient but quaint bus system (Cheap and regular).
