Hilton Manchester Airport.

We live in Scotland and when we fly from Manchester Airport we stay at either the Hilton or the Radisson, like everyone else our choice is usually down to the cost. Often at times Hilton has a stay/parking deal for a good price and at other times Radisson has a better price - so we usually compare the two by the date we need to stay and the best deal wins!!

Hilton Manchester Airport is sits just beside Manchester Airport. Frequent trains run from Manchester Airport Station to central Manchester. The hotel has easy access to the M56, M6 and M60 and is 10 miles from the city centre. It is just 5 minutes by free courtesy bus from Manchester International Airport to the Hilton Manchester Airport hotel. This is a quick journey and the bus runs 24 hours a day so it's very convenient for travellers!

Cars are parked in the Hilton Manchester Airport Car Park and then after your holiday you get the courtesy bus back to the Hilton and collect your car.

All beds are of very good quality, they have got thick mattresses with pillow top covers and egyptian cotton bed linen. A choice of feather or foam pillows is available. I have never found any of the beds to be uncomfortable in any way.

Other facilities include a LivingWell Express Gym free for Hotel guests to use and open 24 hours a day.

The Hotel has 2 bars and 2 Restaurants - both are not cheap and typically a main course costs £20 per person. Children eat free at Hiltons so it might work out okay if you have 2 adults and 2 children in your party.

Drinks are also very expensive with a pint of lager and a glass of wine costing around £12.

If your package does not include breakfast then this costs around £16 per person with children again eating breakfast for free.

Rates vary depending on the time of the year you stay, type of room you choose, even the day of the week you stay! Often weekend stays are cheaper than stays during the week. Rates are offered for room only, bed and breakfast, dinner, bed and breakfast and room only with 7 or 14 days parking.

I have paid £150 for a Delux room only with 7 days parking in June - but as I said before prices do vary so look out for a good deal!

I have stayed in all catergories of rooms they offer and I would say it is really not worth upgrading to a Delux room or a Suite. There is very little difference - rooms all have the same beds, furniture, toiletries etc. In the Deluxe room and the Suite the only extras you get are a slightly larger room, bathrobes, slippers and sparkling water - unless you get a really good price - eg around £5 per night more than the cost of a normal room then I would say don't bother, really it is not worth it.

You can pay on check out by either American Express, Cash, Maestro, Switch or Credit Card.

All in all we have always had a comfortable stays at the Hilton Manchester Airport. Rooms have always had everything we need, comfy beds, well equipped bathrooms, iron and ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities. When we have had the Buffet Breakfast there has always been lots of choices - something to suit everyone. Lots of fresh fruit, orange juice and bacon and eggs etc.

Hilton Manchester Airport is a good Airport Hotel - just make sure you get the best price possible!!!

Summary: Lookout for a Deal

If there's one thing I hate more than airports, it's airport hotels. Well reviewed, though.
