...Manchester isn't noted for is blazing sunshine, and theres plenty of things to do indoors. The city centre is home to two art galleries, and various museums. The Manchester Museum on Oxford Rd is nice, and has a very wide selection of exhibitions and displays, including a Vivarium that holds different species of reptiles. Review of Manchester in general

No longer in the skies, but still high up in my estimation

Advantages: Interesting for all ages, indoors, accessible for all knowledge levels
Disadvantages: Not suitable for those with mobility issues, can book up quickly

Inside the Theatre of Dreams

Advantages: An attraction full of history, enthusiastic and informed tour guides, not expensive
Disadvantages: I can't think of any, but if you support Manchester City you may disagree ;-)

Review of Old Trafford Museum & Stadium Tour, Manchester

Back to basics!

Advantages: It has buses and trams in one place
Disadvantages: Not many at allfacilities

Review of Altrincham Buses and Station

Get a City Card if you live in Manchester

Advantages: Great product, easy to use and good value for money
Disadvantages: only usable in Manchester
