Regrettably and with the wonderful benefit of hindsight, I would not have it left to the day of the stag to book a hotel room. I choose Premier Inn because on short functional trips where costs need to be kept down and convenience kept high, I like the 'know what you get' feel about a premier inn. The prices always reasonable and the rooms always clean and comfortable and the Trafford Centre Premier Inn was no different. Manchester Hotel

Advantages: Godd value
Disadvantages: none

Holiday Inn Express Salford Quays is situated in a very nice location on the waterfront, my room looked out over the renovated canals and docklands which was good. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was very helpful in giving us local information and directions. All the staff were helpful and friendly ( even when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room!) The room was modern and very clean with plenty of coffee, cups , towels ...
...nice dining room, and good length of hours on the Sunday morning in which to get it. Location-wise, it's about 14 minutes on the Metrolink tram from Manchester Piccadilly station on the Eccles line, and from there about a 4-minute walk. Taxi from the city cost us £10 late on Saturday evening, as the Metrolink finishes at 12.30am. Overall I would say it was good value for money and would definatley stay again. ...

Who turned out the lights?

Advantages: clean, good standard rooms
Disadvantages: Not central, fiddly lighting, and the staff were having a bad day, breakfast

...room at the Express by Holiday Inn. Here's where my troubles began Despite calling me Fiona on the phone and having me spell out my full name when they took my debit card details the e-mail confirmation bore a different initial. No problems I thought, I have driving lisence and anyway my card details can be checked. I set off from home for the six hour journey and all went well until I was within spitting distance and then I got lost, very lost! ...
...as you would expect from Holiday Inn. I thought it was pricey for what we got, I paid £89 and to be fair it wasn't very different from a travel lodge or premier inn. Would I stay there again? ****Sachas hotel- Manchester**** I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre. **Location/Getting there** This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station.The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that ...

Advantages: Good lcoation if you like getting drunk & noisy wearing your underwear in public.
Disadvantages: Everything else.
