Disadvantages: over priced.

...so I went for the Thistle as it was alot cheaper than other hotels with a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. I paid £79 for one night at the weekend. We arrived about 1.30pm and although it states check in is at 2 o'clock we thought we would try a bit earlier. ...Overall I dont think the Thistle is worth the money they charge especially as sometimes the rooms can be over £110! The rooms are very average in need of some refurbishment, if your only after a basic hotel in a great location and are willing to pay the money for it then the Thistle is for you. I went to Manchester recently to go and see a concert, so me and my friend stayed in this hotel. When pulling up to the hotel it looked funky, but it's totally different when you get inside. It had a very old fashioned decor and some of it seemed mismatched. The reception desk was long with 3 staff members behind it, but only one member of staff seemed to want to help.
