sachas hotel
Review of Britannia Sachas Hotel, Manchester by katie22008m

Advantages: good price,great location
Disadvantages: no window

****Sachas hotel- Manchester**** I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre. **Location/Getting there** This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station. The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that ...
...and this goes to quite a few places. You could also get a taxi to the hotel but i am not sure what parking is like if you were to take your own car. **Reception/staff** Since i had never been to Manchester before i phoned and asked the staff for directions -they were very nice and helped me out. When i got there i think i got the same women(was a few days later).Staff member was lovely ,you felt like she actually liked her job/was being genuine.Checking ... Manchester Britannia Airport Hotel
Review of Britannia Airport Hotel, Manchester by Lurdle

Advantages: free parking
Disadvantages: see review

I would like to take this opportunity in sharing my experience in the Manchester Airport Hotel. My friend and I had booked a room (no. 321) for one night in the Manchester Airport Hotel for 11th August 2007 at the cost of 49 British pounds. Upon unpacking I noticed that of the two towels provided in the bathroom, the smaller one, showed a large very yellow stain running down the middle of it, the larger one was acceptably clean. One additional large ...
...and requested further towels from the young lady answering the phone. Within 2 minutes the night Manager rang back and suggested that I "look in the wardrobe". Having stated that I had indeed already done this, the "manager" started a debate with me. Here I quote from the hotel services hotel information brochure "An additional set of towels may be found the wardrobe" A sign in the room also states "If you need additional towels, please call the ... Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel
Review of Airport Marriott Hotel, Manchester by matt_fantastic

Advantages: Just of the M56 - convenient
Disadvantages: Just of the M56 - noisy

...a complimentary shuttle to Manchester Airport and they also offer "Park & Fly" packages (around £8 per day, I think) so you can leave your car there while you jet off... For food & dring, there's firstly the "Lobby Bar" that's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you can pick up a fresh Costa Coffee or sandwiches throughout the day (I had a nice three cheese panini). Also, "Mendelssohns Restaurant " is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast ...
...from the nearby motorway and airport was a bit disturbing. Nevermind. The staff were all very helpful, from the fellow on reception when I checked in, the telephone operator lady who helped me connect to their wifi network, the fellow who delivered my Marriott Burger (yum yum), to the maitre d' and waitresses at breakfast. A1's all round. Rates and availability vary, and Marriott do lots of special offers, so check out Expedia or your favourite ... Read review

Stag Do Shenannigans
Review of Premier Travel Inn Manchester - Trafford Centre - South, Manchester by Funzo

Advantages: Clean, top location for shopping, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: a pain to get to on a saturday afternoon, thin walls

...hotel I stayed in….. The Premier Inn Trafford Centre Manchester South. Regrettably and with the wonderful benefit of hindsight, I would not have it left to the day of the stag to book a hotel room. Unable to book the Premier Inn City Centre G-Mex hotel where the majority of the party was staying, I hurriedly booked what I thought was a nearby Premier Inn but turned out to be a good 5 miles west of the city centre and in fact perched a stones throw ...
...permitting I would go through Premier Inn's website. I choose Premier Inn because on short functional trips where costs need to be kept down and convenience kept high, I like the 'know what you get' feel about a premier inn. The prices always reasonable and the rooms always clean and comfortable and the Trafford Centre Premier Inn was no different. Booking was easy and credit card details given over the phone in order to ensure reservation. Cost ... Read review

Ruling in Manchester now too?
Review of Britannia Hotel Manchester, Manchester by scuba_angel

Advantages: reasonable price if booked in advance
Disadvantages: none really

As with my previous recent reviews this forms a part of my need to get a life ethos, and even though I live a short distance from Manchester on a planned night out on the town I decided it was better worth my time staying over than drunkely seeking the nightbus home. So armed with my trusty cashback paying link to a hotelbooking site I found this one for the night. I paid £50 for a doubleroom with no food included, the hotels standard rate is around ...
...a few days before I wanted to stay. The hotel itself is seconds from Picadilly Gardens which is the location of a large bus station and a tram stop which runs between the two main train stations, it is also a few minutes walk from the main Bus Station in the city where the National Express coaches stop. The hotel has a couple of bars open to none guests as well as a full complement of resturants (none guests need to book tables if they wish to ... Read review
