Should Be Called "The Palace" aparthotel
Advantages: Gorgeous hotel, not too close to the centre so you dont get the noise Disadvantages: the very slow lift
The Decision
My partner and myself decided to make this trip to Manchester a special one. To be honest (like most couples) we have very little quality time together. So the search for a great hotel started. Every hotel was starting to look very similar to the next, until we stumbled upon "The Place Aparthotel". It offered a different concept in hotel stays, as what you actually stayed in were apartments instead of tiny hotel rooms. The fact that ... ...we went for it.
The Arrival
It took us about two hours to get to our chosen hotel. Due to the wonders of satellite navigation it directed us nicely in the vicinity of The Place Aparthotel. Then the problems of the sat nav came in, for those of you who aren't aware of how these systems operate the majority of them do not take into account one-way systems.. and to make matters worse for the last part of the journey there were roadwork's around the ...

Radisson Edwardian, Manchester
Advantages: Location Disadvantages: Expensive for just a room.
Nice hotel and you do get a sense of actually gettinh what you pay for. That's probably because the rooms are quite expensive - if you just want somewhere to sleep during your weekend in Manchester. Would say its worth paying for as a treat to be in nicer surroundings but not worth paying for if you're not going to be in your hotel room long and just using it for somewhere to dump your shopping and get your head down after a night out. If however, ... ...pay. Its the place for you why not?
The rooms were stylish and impressive when you walked in - with floor to ceiling windows giving you a nice view - depending which side of the building you were on. Central location just being off Deansgate, so close to everything including china town, city centre, pubs, clubs etc. Nice if you fancy splashing out - but nicer places to stay in Manchester for less pennies. ...

Wonderful Worsley
Advantages: Good Location, Good Quality Disadvantages: Nobe Really
...research we booked The Marriott Worsley Park and Country Club via Superbreaks for £98 including breakfast.
The hotel is a 3 star 158 room hotel and is very easy to find, being located just off the junction 13 of the M60 in a relatively quiet, pleasant residential area, with plenty of on-site parking. There is also a well equipped gym, pool and 18 hole golf course.
On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly concierge who took our ... ...The girl on reception was very friendly by after completing the usual check in forms she told us the room wasn’t quite ready yet even though it was 2:30 (check in time is 2:00 onwards). We didn’t mind too much as there are some comfy sofa in reception which we relaxed on for about 20 minutes watching the bridesmaid waiting for rest of the party of the wedding that was taking place at the hotel.
Once our room was ready the concierge took our bags ...

Don't waste your £ on the luxury rooms - Crowne Plaza Manchester
Advantages: Location. New and modern Disadvantages: Awful club level package. Decor not to everyones taste.
...the special offers available from Crowne Plaza. As a treat for myself and the other half, I decided we would go to Manchester for the weekend. It is a city I haven’t really explored much before and thought it would be a good weekend trip. I had seen the newly opened Crowne Plaza on this years Apprentice and the hotel and rooms looked very modern and stylish and when I saw the promotional prices I thought why the hell not and off we went. Booking ... ...variety of privileges. Those at Crowne Plaza included, *Access to the club lounge where complimentary continental breakfast and evening drinks would be available. *Full soft drinks service all day. *Small selection of magazines and newspapers. *Access to two computers for the internet etc. The club level rooms cost an extra £20 per night and I can honestly say they were not worth it in the slightest. This was without a doubt the worst club level ...

Blue Rainbow Apartments, Manchester - why stay anywhere else/
Advantages: Underground parking, nice staff, high quality furnishings/comfort Disadvantages: None.
Blue Rainbow Apartments, Manchster. You are impressed as soon as you walk in reception. Underground parking is available on site. So you know your car is safe and secure whilst you're relaxing upstairs. The life and landings on the way to your apartments are immaculate. Apartments range from one bedroom upwards having stayed in a few. They are all of similar layout and design. Wood floors, dining table and 4 chairs. nice couch to chill out on whilst ... ...nice couch to chill out on to watch a huge plasma tele on the wall. Then when you retire up and out to your separate bedroom. Just like being at home. In fact blue rainbow becomes a home away from homes. Would recommend to anyone - if i liked you. ...
