Cheap and Central
Advantages: Location, decent sized family rooms, pleasant staff
Disadvantages: Hard to get a parking space at the hotel's car park, beds not particularly comfy
...I found myself on the Travelodge website, and managed to secure a booking at the Manchester Central hotel for £32 per night. Had I not had the presale code for tickets and had to wait for the tickets to go on general sale I would have been looking at prices of at least double what I paid. The Travelodge website states the hotel has a car park which costs £7.50 for 24 hours stay which is reasonable for the city centre, but when I arrived at the hotel the car park was full. There is an NCP car park next door so I had to use that instead - and at £15.30 for 24 hours this stuck in my craw a little. ...more info) telling me that Travel lodge would be offering rooms for just£10 the next day. I got up early to visit the Travel lodge site. The site was very easy to navigate and a selection of £10 rooms was indeed on offer in and around Manchester. I choose to stay at the Manchester airport Travel lodge as this was the most conveniently placed for our visit. The total cost for a family room sleeping four was just £10!

Blue Rainbow Apartments, Manchester - why stay anywhere else/
Advantages: Underground parking, nice staff, high quality furnishings/comfort
Disadvantages: None.
Blue Rainbow Apartments, Manchster. You are impressed as soon as you walk in reception. Underground parking is available on site. So you know your car is safe and secure whilst you're relaxing upstairs. The life and landings on the way to your apartments are immaculate. Apartments range from one bedroom upwards having stayed in a few. They are all of similar layout and design. Wood floors, dining table and 4 chairs. nice couch to chill out on whilst ...

Great quality, real friendly and 2 mins to town!
Advantages: really trendy and clean, breakfast booking service available in ure room and friendly :O)
Disadvantages: none really
...really are wot the rooms look like! If ure looking for a clean and trendy hotel thats not too big that ure anonymous but not too small either, within minutes of the centre on a major route then come and stay with Steve and the gang at Citi park :O) ...

Don't waste your £ on the luxury rooms - Crowne Plaza Manchester
Advantages: Location. New and modern
Disadvantages: Awful club level package. Decor not to everyones taste.
