This airport has grown and grown over the years and, whilst you can tell what bits have been 'added on' it is very easy to find your way around with clear signs directing you to departures, arrivals or check in etc.
Really the only criticism you could have is that there is a long walk between terminals. If you are not in a rush this is fine - but if you have an onward connection to catch can be a problem. I feel a mono rail type connection should have been provided between terminals when T2 was built a few years ago.
There are plenty of facilities and shops both before and after security - with everything from Boots,Virgin,WHSmith, clothes shops, coffee shops etc etc. There is a petrol station (albeit a little pricey).
There is a very handy rail link which links right into the walkway 'tube' between terminals with a regular service into Manchester Centre and beyond. My family live in Preston and there is a direct service from the Airport that goes through Manchester, Bolton and all the small stations en route (depending on the train - there are some 'express' services that only stop at a couple of main stations - so check before you get on.
A wide variety of Hotels are available within the vicinity of the Airport e.g. Holiday Inn, Posthouse, Raddisson to name a few.
Manchester serves virtually all destinations worldwide.
Hello. I agree that T1 and T2 are miles apart (not literally), and that some link would be better. There is a bus service though, if you know where to ask (customer info desk). More info needed though I felt about the airport itself - where does it fly to? how big is it? what are the faciltites like pricewise? etc. If you do add more info please let me know :)

Sorry for the rating, but I believe that you should tell us more about the airport and what it has to offer including more on the rail link..Baz

Though interesting and precise, this opinion needs a little more depth and detail to obtain those top ratings - try and aim to write a little more :) Cheers > Dan
