Manhattan Broadway Hotel, New York City

Advantages: A lot to see & do, has something to offer for everyone
Disadvantages: Too much to see and do, can be exhausting, expensive hotels

...to Norway often complain about how expensive stuff is here. Well, I think my standard comment from now on will be: go to New York and see if that is any cheaper :-) Yes, NYC is pricy. The hotel will cost you a pretty penny and eating out will cost you. So will we go back to New York City? Yes, if we get a chance I think that we would go there again because there are still lots to see and do. There are a few things that were on our list that we weren't able to squeeze in. I would have liked to take a tour with Big Apple Greeter because I think that the concept is great. We enjoy our food and I think that it would have been great to take a food tasting tour. ...New york City has a lot to offer. Most people think of the city as the island of Manhattan but there is so much more to it. Manhattan happens to be just one of the five boroughs of NY. There is so much I could tell you of all of NYC. I will tell you about Manhattan, the place most people refer to as New York. New York was the first of the cities to have the world record sky scrapers. The first was the Woolworth Building. It was soon shadowed by the Chrystler Building. That building held the record for a very short time because soon after it was completed the Empire State Buildings construction began. The Empire State Building was the largest for years. Once you’ve got through the flight, the next challenge is getting from the airport to your accommodation. I flew into Newark airport, which is in New Jersey. The easiest and cheapest way to get to your accommodation is to hop onto the airport shuttle bus to Manhattan. This costs about $12 for a return ticket, and it takes about 45 minutes to get to Manhattan. I would then recommend flagging down a yellow New York cab to take you the rest of the way to your destination. The drivers are trained to know where they’re going, so you just have to give them the address of your hotel and they’ll take you. It cost me about $20 dollars to Brooklyn, so its not too...
