A Monument to a Life Less Ordinary
Review of Nehru Memorial Museum (Teen Murti Bhavan), Delhi by  koshkha

Advantages: If you are interested in Nehru and Indian Independence, it's a must see
Disadvantages: If you aren't, then it may go over your head

...During our trip to India last November, we booked a car and a driver to explore some of the sights of Delhi which we'd not previously managed to visit. After a really interesting hour or so at the Indira Gandhi memorial museum we headed off to 'keep it in the family' and check out the Museum dedicated to her father, Jawaharlal Nehru. I've got a bit of a 'thing' about Nehru If it were acceptable or appropriate to admit to having a bit of a crush on a foreign politician who was dead before I was even born, then Nehru is right up at the top of my list. Mind you, it's not a very long list, but none the less, with his matinee-idol good looks, the first Prime Minister of an independent India was a real head-turner who set ladies' hearts a-flutter all over the world - including Edwina, Countess of Burma, the wife of the last Viceroy... Review of Prince of Wales Museum, Bombay by  shazipk

Advantages: Mumbai's finest Victorian building
Disadvantages: busiest city of india

...Prince of Wales Museum,Bombay(bombay is an old name of the city, its now called mumbai). The museum was completed in 1911 and named for King George V, who laid the cornerstone in 1905. It's divided into three sections: art, archaeology, and natural history. The Mumbai's finest Victorian building situated at the southern end of the present Mahatma Gandhi Road.George Wittet design the Museum building in 1909 , Gateway of India is also one, designed by him. It is constructed of Basalt and Kurla stone. It is three storeys high . The building has several cultural touches from islamic prominent feature of dome to western victorian style or Indo - saracenic style .The building has also some resemblance to Taj mahal (a mogul construction). The building used as children's welfare center and then as a hospital, in 1922 opened... Read review

A Memorial to a Remarkable Leader
Review of Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum, New Delhi by  koshkha

Advantages: A great mix of the public and private woman
Disadvantages: The crowds can be overwhelming

.... This museum that exhibits a great life, a shocking death (or two) and some morbid relics makes for a much more compelling tourist attraction than an exhibition on the history of the independence movement just down the road. A visit to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum really should be on every tourist's must-see list although you'll get more out of it if you know a bit about Indian politics. Getting there could be a bit tricky as this part of the city isn't on the metro line. The easiest way would be to get a taxi or autorickshaw. We arrived in the early afternoon to join the long line snaking down the road outside a building that was rather small and modest compared with many of its grand neighbours in the posh district of Lutyen's New Delhi. Observers often comment on the modesty of Indira Gandhi's bungalow on Safdarjang Road but let... Read review
