...Across Ayala from the Gilarmi is the Glorietta Center shopping Mall, which is well worth a wander around. Close by are a number of 5 star hotels, including the Dusit, The Intercontinental, the Peninsula and the Shangri-la. Also within a few minutes walk are lots of good places to eat and places to go for a good night out. I recommend ‘Street Life’ in the Glorietta Center and Azzoro’s across from the Intercontinental. ...relief that we left the Villa Carolina Townhouse behind us as we returned to Makati. ~~~ Conclusion ~~~ In our opinion, my wife and I, this hotel is totally unsuitable for young children. I think that the clientele would be young, singles or couples travelling on a tight budget with fairly flexible, low, set of standards. The Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel where I stayed for a few weeks on my trip to Manila last year, offers quite a good location compared to the other hotels in this capital city.
