Not just cheap and cheerful…. ;o) Advantages: price and location Disadvantages: no sea views ...for money. General Description El Faro is a three star rated Aparthotel, with around 70 varying apartments and studios with 5 floors and a lift. I believe that it has been renovated within the last couple of years. It has a garden, a pool (a new addition last year), a bar and 24 hour reception. Good Hotel aided by good food Advantages: Resturant/food, large pool, casino, not far from harbour Disadvantages: Views on some sides of hotel, wrong side of puerto banus I must say that either this hotel has changed its policies or I must disagree with the other reveiwer admittedly there were several downsides to the hotel such as the hotel was the wrong side of the main road in puerto banus, but there were taxis waiting outside the hotel all night, the taxis were expensive but nothing more than you would expect to pay for this area or you could use the underpass route which envolved a short walk to the harbour. ... ...all that great although Louis' lounge is worth a visit with some good live music on sundays. The Good: Nice big pool with poolside bar and restaurant, good facilities; clean indoor pool, gym, sauna, games room and a casino with free entrance. Friendly Staff too. Fuerte Miramar Spa Hotel Advantages: Perfect location, very clean & comfortable, friendly staff Disadvantages: Beach This hotel is in a perfect location for those looking to go on holiday to Marbella. Backing onto the beach, with sunloungers and parasols provided for free, you can get superb views from your room. We had a side-side view room which gave amazing views looking down the coastline from the balcony. It was larger in size than we were expecting and the bathroom had that wow-factor. No worries about sleeping in the hot nights as the rooms are air conditioned ... ...open the doors onto the balcony, the air con automatically switches off to save energy. The first thing you notice about this hotel is how clean and roomy it is. The room maids did a fantastic job of cleaning the room every day and always gave a friendly smile and "hola!" in the corridors. more of a palace than a hotel. Marbela`s finest!! Advantages: beautiful and very clean. Disadvantages: i found none during a 2 week break. The NH Alanda hotel in Marbella is without doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed in and Marbella itself is a beautiful city. A holiday in Marbella is always going to be a great holiday but you really can add to your time there by using this hotel. Marbella is situated along the Costa del Sol and is Spains answer to st Tropez, this holiday resort is chic and is well known to be favoured by the rich and famous. The NH Alanda hotel with its beautiful pool, four star rating (five in some brochures now I believe) and its 199 rooms looks more like a palace than a hotel. I personally was there in the summer of last year, as we walked in to the outstanding reception area to be greeted by the very friendly staff I was instantly sure I had made a good choice. Relaxing break at the Cortijo Blanco! Advantages: Beautiful gardens, great staff, fresh food Disadvantages: views from some rooms onto roads My boyfriend and I( both 19) wanted a last minute relaxing week's break in Spain and after searching for hours I found this one. The reviews scared me no end! but I have to say I thought ' Its £390 each for a week's all inclusive in the height of Spanish summer, who cares?'. Hotel : When the rep signalled that this was our stop I was a bit shocked, I hadn't expected something so beautiful or well kept. The gardens were flourishing in the 30 degree ... ...change to the usual concrete blocks you might find in Benidorm. One little thing which did cause a problem was the reception area, it is really small for the amount of people arriving for check in at the same time Although, in saying this though the staff speak good english and gave us good directions to our room( the complex is large!).
