La Villa Marbella is located in the beautiful Old Town of Marbella. The hotel is very charming and the friendliness of the service personal is exceptional. The rooms are very nice furnished and well equipped. The room rates are quite expensive though. You pay for at least 4* stars without having a pool, wellness area, etc.. If you are aware of that and can live without those amenities, La Villa Marbella is for sure a beautiful place to stay. ...

...from a weeks stay at Club Marbella in Calahonda. Calahonda is a town in between Malaga and Marbella, about a 30 minute drive from Malaga airport. Disadvantages: Views on some sides of hotel, wrong side of puerto banus

I must say that either this hotel has changed its policies or I must disagree with the other reveiwer admittedly there were several downsides to the hotel such as the hotel was the wrong side of the main road in puerto banus, but there were taxis waiting outside the hotel all night, the taxis were expensive but nothing more than you would expect to pay for this area or you could use the underpass route which envolved a short walk to the harbour. ...
