There are two Asda's in Brighton - this review is about the Cafe upstairs in the Marina store.
The only way to do this justice is to visit Tescos in Haywards Heath 1st. Then pop to the Marina for lunch.
BrightonMarina is a newish development on largely reclaimed land at the bottom of the cliffs to the east of Brighton. After a slow start in the last century it is becoming more and more prosperous so the Asda store, which was almost the first business to open there, is becoming more and more incongruous. Rumour has it that they are going to extend it as it is always packed.
The Cafe is upstairs and serves hot food daily. I think the best description of the food is 'school dinners'. They do vegetarian meals and good hot food but the food is often stodgy, soggy and overcooked. If you like chips and pasta then this is the place ...
This Cinema is based in BrightonMarina.
The Marina itself has about 4 pubs whereby you can meet freinds prior to seeing a film.
Another benfit of the this cinema is that they provide free parking for people using the cinema facilities.
I also like this cinema as unlike most the cinema's in Brighton nearly all the films are on at the marina rather than just a couple. In total the marina has about 8 screens.
The seats are also comfortable quite low set but with enough leg rooms for two hours!
The wheelchair access is also good the entrance to the cinema is flat and once inside there are ramps to the higher level and lifts if requested.
The food price is normal for a cinema i actually find these prices extortionate. However the size of the pop corn is huge and it is delicious. Also they do provide hot dogs whic are ...
Advantages: Good fun, reasonable prices Disadvantages: Only runs along a short route
Running for a length of around two kilometres along Brighton's seafront Volk's Electric Railway is the oldest operating electric railway system in the world. Established in 1883 it was not the first electric rail system of its kind, that award goes to a similar system at Lichterfelde, Berlin that predates this one by a couple of years. However that one no longer operates so Brighton's version qualifies as the oldest one still in use.
Brighton's electric railway is a narrow gauge railway that was the brainchild of Magnus Volk. It operates between the Aquarium, adjacent to the pier to the marina and the length of the queues at the stations at both end during the recent Easter Bank Holiday prove that it is still a popular attraction.
There are only three stations along its route; the Aquarium at the eastern end of the line close to ...
