The Plaza Regency hotel, Sliema is situated at 251 Tower Road, or as the local street signs put it Triq it-Torri. It is seperated from its sister hotel The Plaza, by a road Triq San Frangisk. The two hotel are connected together by a bridge six floors above the street. This sounds weird but works quite well. The two hotels share a dining room which is on the sixth floor of the Plaza, and share a swimming pool which is on the roof (seventh floor) of the Plaza Regency.
Both hotels have several steps to climb to get from street level to Reception and in my opinion would be awkward for someone of limited mobility. Once inside, the reception area is spacious and has arm chairs and a TV. The staff here speak good English and are helpful. Both hotels have lifts which are in my opinion both slow and cramped. I have staying the Dart Marina three times now and I feel I need to share my experience with you. Lets put it simply the start with, the hotel is brilliant. There is no other word to describe it. It is right on the seafront and within a pleasurable walking range to Dartmouth. It has outstanding views across the sea with regular yaughts coming into the marina. The team of staff are friendly, helpful and see to your every need. The chef, who I have met, is a brilliant cook and has produced several different and amazing dishes from local produce each time I have been there. The rooms are immaculate and stylish with TV, radio, en-suite and several complimentary items. The facilities, which include a spa, swimming pool and gym, are state of the art and enjoyable to use. All in all, I will be returning to this hotel again and again and I would ...

We'd had some pretty good hotels on our trip to Andalucia, and we hoped that the hotel we had picked for our final three days wouldn't be any different. We wanted a comfortable room in a hotel on the beach with a nice sea view, but nothing too remote so that we could still enjoy all the facilities of a resort. Did we get what we wanted?

We booked the HOTEL PERLA MARINA, in the town of NERJA, through bancotel.com. This is a Spanish based travel site whereby you purchase 'cheques' for 50 euros each. Depending on the hotel, season etc, a room costs between 1-3 cheques per night. This can mean savings of over 60% in some cases.
Being the intrepid bargain hunter (some would say tight-fisted git) that I am, I managed to book a series of 3 and 4 star hotels for 50 euros. This hotel was no exception.
