Marineland Majorca, Palma

Advantages: Enjoyable day out for all ages, educational to.
Disadvantages: Could be expensive if the whole family are going.

...favourite day out was at Marineland Majorca. You need a good day to see around and really enjoy it. As its hot weather in Palma Nova in august over 100 some of the time we were there. We got up and ventured to the hotel lobby and decided today was the day as it was something we both wanted to do. The hotel phoned us a taxi and all excited we waited in the lobby. ...Avenida de la Playa. Marineland is situated next door to Aqualand just into Magalluf. On arrival the taxi was around 6 euros. You are faced with a decorative entrance of large dolphins, turtles, and other sea creatures, its very well done and makes it look fun. There is a huge car park and markings for taxi drop off. Although the carpark is shared with neighbouring Aqualand. But having said that didn't see it full or anyone having trouble to park. ... Read review

Disadvantages: Extremley Crowded As They Have School Trips Every Day

...it cost to go to Marineland compared to some holiday attractions. It cost approx. 32E for a family of four and the taxi ride there and back from Sol Magaluf Park cost about 5E. It is an excellent family day out with loads to see and do. There is a Dolphin Show, Parrot Show, Penquins, Sea Lions, you name it its there. There is little play areas around and also a small lagoon for the kids to paddle in. The only down side is the school trips. They come ...
...so even though you may seem to be at the front of a que about 150 teachers and kiddes pass you so all that queing for a good seat was for nothing. Disadvantages: bit expensive and not as much to do as we first thought

Marineland is in Magaluf, and is about 15 euros entry. We thought this was a little expensive, as we only spent a couple of hours there. For a little extra you can go to one of the water parks. Marineland is definately worth it if you have children, but you have to watch them as they can easily pick the animals up, or fall in with the penguins etc. The bird enclosure was disappointing as there weren't many, the reptile part was great though. ...pretty good, especially as the kids all thought they were seeing Nemo and Dory! Then there were the penguins outside which are so cute, well worth watching. Everyone knows the best part is the sealion and dolphin show. There must have been about 30 sealions in the park alltogether, and there aren't many sows a day so you have to get in there at the right time. Advantages: fairly central, good half day out, own private beach!
Disadvantages: quite expensive and not very big

I have been to Marineland 3 times now and have always enjoyed myself. Its very easy to get to by car, just round the back of palma nova on the dual carriage way. The entrance fee this year was 16 euro's and it does seem to increase each year. the actual park itself is quite small but there is an awful lot to see! you have penguins, sea lions, a turtle rescue centre, snakes and spiders, flamingo's! the list goes on. ...The best part of Marineland are the shows. They have a parrot show and a dolphin and sealion show. these are both excellent, but can get really croweded. During the dolphin show, it can get very hot so i would recommend you sit in the shade or right at the front so you get wet! Get there early to get good seats. This place is absolutely great. Went to magalluf with my girlfriend this year and went here for the day. It was very hot and walking round this place was great. You can have your picture taken with the large parrots which is exciting for the younger ones... and for me :) The sea lions are brilliant and also the dolphin shows, they are crowded but thats to be expected. You can go down underground and see the dolphins through some large windows swimming ...
...and they come really close up, this is good for the kids they'l love it. It is a very fun day out and you can spend a good 3 or 4 hours there atleast, come out with a great tan at the end of the day. The prices arent too bad, although dont pay at the gate. Buy the tickets from some of the small excursion shops around magaluf anfd palma nova its much cheaper and you also get free bus ride there and back... although i prefer to walk in the lovely ...
