Maritim Hotel Stuttgart is the integration of the historical Stuttgarter Reithalle dating from 1885 which lends the architecture of these two modern hotel buildings its special charm. Situated at the pulse of the capital of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the hotel welcomes you with its exclusive personality and cordial atmosphere. The integration of the historical ``Alte Reithalle'' and the direct link to the ``Liederhalle'', the culture and congress centre mean an outstanding potential for conferences, irrespective of size and shape. Just opposite the Bosch Areal offers you a variety of cafés, restaurants, cinema, fitness studio and further more.
Advantages: It's quiet Disadvantages: It's on life support and needs a shot of adrenaline
...The Maritim is not one of my favourite hotels. If I hear that I've been booked there, a wave of disappointment rolls over me and that's based on only two stays so far - but I'm sure there will be more. It's not that there's actually anything WRONG with the hotel, it's just that it's got an air of being tired, past it and just not up to scratch for the new millenium. It must have once been really quite grand but today it's about as up to date as Princess Anne at a wedding.
The location is fine - there's the park to one side, the congress centre to the other and it's only a couple of minutes walk to the railway station. A taxi from the airport will cost you around Euro15 if you cant figure out how to take the trams to the station plaza. It's not even a noisy place - although I admit when I saw my room was on the road side the first...

Advantages: beautiful, lovely weather, port aventura, aquaopolis, day trips to barcelona, cheap, safe area, bonavista market, close to airport Disadvantages: rush for sunbeds in the morning!
...part of port aventura, which was enjoyable but involved a great deal of queing and sunburn!
There were plenty more activities offered by both the hotel and the area, such as swimming with sea lions and a variety of sports.
HOTEL:
The Princess Maritimhotel is the best hotel i have ever stayed in, although only 3 stars it feels like at least four. The hotel is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, several computers with internet access are in reception which are cheap to use and one includes a webcam. The swimming pool and hotels facilities were ideal for all the family. The only slight disadvantage is that there was a mad rush for sunbeds by the pool in the morning but being a minutes walk away from the beach this was not too much of a problem. The food was well presented although slightly bland but this is to be expected when...

Advantages: Great city Disadvantages: It's far from here lol
..., which is absolutely amazing and available in over 20 different flavours. The factory and its museum/centre is accessible by a frequent bus service from a nearby S-Bahn. People aged 18 and under can make their own chocolate here (well, pour liquid chocolate into moulds and add things) which was quite fun, as well as buy chocolate for insanely cheap in the shop. I saw lots of people there buying trolley fulls of it for about 20 euros or so.
*Conclusion*
I really enjoyed my stay in and around Stuttgart, and would recommend it if you fancy a short city break, though I have no idea what any of the hotels are like.
*Conclusion*
I really enjoyed my stay in Marbach and the surrounding area...
